The Two-Pot Retirement System is a reform introduced by the South African government that allows retirement fund members to access a portion of their savings before retirement for emergency purposes. The majority of their retirement savings will remain preserved until retirement. This system is available to any South African with a pension, provident, retirement annuity, or preservation fund.
