I grew up in Europe. I love it. We were stationed in Germany from 72 to 96. Best years of my life. We traveled everywhere. When my dad was doing his genealogy research we spent a lot of time in cemeteries playing on the playgrounds while they met people we were related to. I got to go to East Berlin before and after the wall came down. My brother lived in East Germany after the wall came down and he lived in the guards quarters of an old castle that was made into apartments. Roman forts, medieval castles and tons of other things. School field trips to other countries etc. It was an amazing place and time to grow up.😊
Hi Laura, did you know that Sweden is vintage heaven? There are many second hand stores here, many are called 'loppis". I live in Sweden for 2 years and love thrifting here! Love your videos!
Hi...I really love watching your videos. I love that Jesse has joined you in your business. He comes off as truly admiring your business savvy. The person I absolutely adore is Lorenzo!!! It's like you have given him a script and he knows his lines. Thank you for making me me laugh. ❤
Europe sounds awesome! I am interested in all the things you mentioned, especially shopping for treasures, hiking, visiting landmarks and cooking demos. Yes!
Laura you have the most amazing goodwill's in the Pacific North West. Love your style 🌹 Traveling to Europe is on my bucket list, plus I love flea markets & old books & paintings. I love & enjoy it all. 💝
The plate for the escargot looks like the ones I bought in Soufflenheim France in Alsace. The town is full of potters and beautiful pieces. The style is common type of pottery from there.
I celebrate Hanukkah and I believe the significance of the two stars is for the two Shabbat candles that are lit during the first evening of Hanukkah. The two stars represent the star of King David from the Bible. I'll be celebrating Hanukkah again this year with my Mother. 🙂🇺🇸🇮🇱
We (Jewish people) light two candles on Shabbat, which falls on Friday of every week at sun down. It's not specific to Shabbat during Chanukah. That candle holder is for Shabbat specifically 😊 It is Judaica. Very beautiful.
Here we go....Laura you have created your own reality, one you should be so proud of from this successful channel, to trend-setting monthly sales on your site, your soon to be cooking channel and now this! Your new travel venture is one of the things you were born to do and no doubt you will do it in your own inimitable way! How exciting that you will be hosting, along with Jesse, trips that for others will make memories for a lifetime. As for the haul today - one of my faves! Brava!
Thank you so much for the words of encouragement Ella! Life sure has a funny way of working out and it feels amazing to be creating this future Jesse and I have always dreamed of 🥰
We’re going on our first group travel next month to Morocco and we’re so excited to share the experience with others 🥰 I had always wanted to go there but when the group trip (hosted by a friend of mine) came up, Jesse and I jumped on it. Since booking that we’ve watched so many group travel vlogs on TH-cam and it really seems like an incredible experience sharing and bonding over the adventures! ❤️ Hope you can join us one of of our group trips next year!
Location location location! Your's is coveted by many a reseller. So fun to see these beautiful finds, almost entices me to move to the pacific northwest. I love all the MCM you share.
We were in Europe from April to September this year with Zagreb, Croatia as our base. It was hot, beautiful but very long in Europe. The best flea market, to me, was in Zagreb. I wished then, as I wish now, that I had an eye for the good stuff. Unfortunately we were already overweight with our luggage, even with buying extra luggage. I bought just a few bangles for my personal use. They had so many many vintage things, many were brass and copper. And the prices were quite reasonable.
Hi:) as a Jewish person, I'm not aware of any specific meaning to two Stars of David. We light two candles for Shabbat every Friday evening, so you will find many pairs of candle holders in Jewish artifects, and I guess in this case the artist decided to attach them together and put this Jewish symbol on each one.
Hi! A couple of the girls in Jocelyn’s (Crazy Lamp Lady) comments suggested I follow you for great content and you did not disappoint! Consider me your newest subscriber!
I wish I was young enough to go on that trip! Due to my up and coming hip replacement surgery I can’t hardly walk now. It would be so nice! I love watching your videos and will continue to watch so I can enjoy what you love! Great job, Laura and Jesse!👍🥰💜
Thank you Carol and Tammie! My surgery is in October. I just lost my boyfriend today to kidney failure. He will be my guardian angel watching over me. Again, thanks for the great wishes.💜🥰
HI! Don't know if you'll get this, but I hope your hip replacement went well and you are having an easy recovery!! I fell right outside my doctor's office in February and broke my hip and had a replacement done then.
@@bethbenditt9489 yes, thank you for asking. Went in one day and out the next day. Since I already had the other hip done a few years ago I knew what to expect. This time was a lot easier and I am recovering fine.🥰
I loved Italy thank you so much for sharing your voyage! And your videos are phenomenal, I learned so much from you. And now I am a bit toasty lover and I am on the lookout everywhere. I love the blue and green. Thank you thank you thank you
I too wish I could do the trip with you and Jesse. You will make fabulous tour guides. If I could travel I would ike to include theatre into the mix for the evening entertainment. Such a fabulous experience going to the theatre in the European cities because of the sensational venues and of course the high quality of the performers. Im looking forward to more of your home renovations and your cooking. What a talented couple you are!! All the best with your new ventures and projects. xx
Hi Laura ! I am so excited to hear more about the trip you are planning for next year - as others have said, I always wanted to go to Europe but alone is scary - I couldn’t think of a more fun couple and group to go with - can’t wait to hear more ! Of course price will be a factor now that everything has gone haywire here 😆- great haul! 🥰 - Pam
Seeing the Brass Armadillo reminded me of a shop that I go to near Kansas City Missouri. It is called the Brass Armadillo and it’s a wonderful large flea market.
Love your videos, always upbeat and sharing your business ideas, so open n generous! Regarding the tour, are you asking for suggestions of locations for you to film or for the viewers to actually travel with you guys?
Hi my lovely 😍 friend 💕 I am so happy that you guys are bk.and that y'all had a fantastic time in Europe 🇪🇺 💗 Just hooked up ur channel on INSTAGRAM let's do this ur fam Lisa 💖 💗 out here in the Bay Area.

Hi! The floral pottery you found is from Alsace France. It comes in different colors. While stationed in Germany my mission was to search for as much vintage pieces as I could! They’re wonderful! You’ll have to go on your next trip and find some. They go as back as the 1800’s❤️ My crack head has so many pieces! 😅
I'm saving money to go back to College but I it would be so awesome to travel with you & your hubby. I think doing a bike tour of the Street Art would be great. If you go to Paris in Spring you can check out the Cherry Blossoms in bloom. I really enjoyed seeing the Aquarium, Museum of Vampires, & Paris Sewer Museum. I loved the Dark City Secrets Walking Tour & watching the sunset from the steps at Sacre-Coeur Basilica. I apologize if I misspelled any of those places. Lol.
Ah that's dope. You'll have a bomb time. This is something I would LOVE. I think adding in historical tours and something to do with food would be beautiful additions to thrifting. Be sure to include an age range. I did this before and they host didn't specify and two small children were brought along. Poor things were miserable.
Well I have seen a lot of brass critters along the way; but you're right, never a brass armadillo. The crisp white vase is perfect for the blue hydrangeas, they really pop.
I'd love to travel Europe with y'all Along with all the things you mentioned, of course good eating in hole in the wall places, cooking classes would be fun, or making your own pasta etc.Farm to table places would be fun. maybe tour a cheese making place? Im game!
That would be so fun!! One of my favorite days in Italy on a previous trip was a balsamic vinegar tour in Modena, Italy! So amazing the history and work that goes into making things we enjoy daily!
I love your brass armadillo. I actually sell antiques at the Brass Armadillo in Des Moines Iowa. Your style and decorating is an inspiration to how I have transformed my home.
Oh my gawd! This is mine and my husbands dream! We have wanted to travel by narrowboat on the canals they have other. You have to relax because the boating speed limit is 4 mph! Haha! They are just so cool! Of course the food and flea markets! Oh my! How do we sign up and what is the cost? I'm so excited!
1. Use the upside down crystal candle holders for tequila shots! 2. Use the "egg chair" shaped cups for tequila shots! 3. I want to go to Europe and thrift and sightsee and do tequila shots! Maybe year after next, if all goes well.
I have a pair of plain light brown pottery escargot ones at my thrift store that have been sitting there for weeks. Now I’m gonna really check them out. I thought they were for eggs 😂
Even though I live in Europe myself, I would even join on this trip. Unfortunately I still have a small child and she doesn't like thrifting much, (at home okay, for 2 hours thens its done) let alone all day lol :D . But that will be fine ( one day, it will come) , France and Italy would seem great to me.
