This episode is actually really great foreshadowing. Walt is normally obsessed with the quality of his product to the point where he would absolutely scream at Jesse for turning a machine off too soon or not being careful with the equipment, and here he is, whacking the machines and accidentally hitting buttons, even falling off a railing, risking his own life, all because of a minor annoyance that he could choose to ignore. He's willing to throw everything away because he can't let the little things go. His weakness is revealed
Another thing, while the fly might not cause a problem, it just might be able to ruin a batch. I think of the way just a few hundred micrograms or a few milligrams of vitamins can support an entire body for a day. That fly is probably still made of over 10^22 atoms, meaning there could be plenty of opportunities for the fly to bond with things or prevent the chemicals from bonding properly.
This video is over 13 years old yet it feels like it's something that would've been posted only, like, three years ago. Breaking Bad truly *is* timeless.

This show is basically a dark comedy as much as it’s a crime drama. Not too many people mention the dark dry humor of this show. Like someone mentioned in the last comment I made, this show wouldn’t have been as big as it was if it didn’t have the dark comedy that it has
