Releasing new music every 60 days has nothing to do with the algorithms of the various social media and/or streaming platforms. The main reason is because people have the attention span of a goldfish, meaning they don't have one. You have to come with fresh new content to keep their attention and stay somewhere near top of mind. If you don't have something new to talk about, someone else does and your fans move on to those that have enough relevant content to keep their mind occupied.
People need to get back to focusing on making quality over quantity. Focus on the actual art of making music and then worry about marketing and funnels.

I appreciate the tips, so many great artists grind through the rough hoping to catch an eye. I'm almost ready to start dropping mass amounts of content, I'm spending 6-10 hours a day 7 days a week on this plus studying these videos and in that time I realized before you start dropping singles, you gotta prep a base. By that I mean if your single pops off you want to direct them to an album or 2. It's the difference between feeling a wave and riding a surf. I was gonna drop a new single every 2-4 weeks and changed up to dropping a 6 track EP mid Jan, a 15 track album end of Feb and then focus on high quality singles with videos while slow cooking more albums through the year. I'm feeling confident on the approach, now just gotta stick the landing hahaha

What if ur first release is gonna he an album I’m thinking of releasing three singles from the album first and then doing the full release for the album after. Is that a good sorta strategy cuz ik a lot of artists do that
I was going to do that but later found out álbumes are something that are better to be released further into your career when you already have a fan base. Even very big and successful artists don’t release albums until a very long time and some still never have. Singles and ep’s are your best way to go when starting out to build your fanbase. But of course you can do what you want at the end of the day ;)

This was super helpful!! My band has been playing live for a little over a year now and we are still small. But we have grown a bit! And this is really helpful and logical! You need to focus more on the engagement then as streams doesn't always mean growth. Focus on the content to engage your audience further and organically grow your brand
I made three 30 track albums last year, Released one of them last April but I wish I would have discovered you before I did. But I have 2 more albums that I can apply your advice to.. Was happy to see a video where the person didnt say "buy this course to find out what else I can tell you" You just give away gold for free with your videos and actually make me wanna pay you for it. It depends on your aims! Ideally you'd push people to both.
Do remember it's easier to get someone from Instagram to Spotify than Spotify to Instagram

Baggy clothes for a woman who doesn't want to be sexualised? I think the result is the opposite of the respect she wants to get from the men - it actually is a message to the men that if a woman ISN'T wearing baggy clothes she CAN be sexualised 🙄 I would like to be respected regardless of my clothes. Definitely not identifying myself with that "story".
