Look at that huge line of appliances in the road, neat! LFB Officer's certainly like their beemers. Love how you caught two FRUs in the same clip. Great video :D
It really bloody annoys me when loads of police turn up and 90% of them go into a huddle somewhere and the firefighters end up doing traffic control which is the police's job. It happened throughout the 70/80 and 90's and it seems nothing has changed.
I would be concerned with the lack of traffic control on the main road where the fire apparatus is parked, especially for the safety of the firefighters dismounting and walking around the trucks. Good traffic and pedestrian control on the fire street (tape). Nice vid.
ronald lynn Johnson...absolutely right. In the region of the USA where I live, the police are very aggressive about blocking traffic from the streets at a fire scene. Even pedestrians are excluded from the area. On several occasions I have been stopped, questioned, and ordered to leave the area by police officers while attempting to approach the scene of even a minor house fire. Allowing civilian traffic to routinely drive past a major fire scene would be unthinkable here.
Great video! I really like the sirens they have! Can you show a video of them deploying the ladder on one of the Pump-Ladder trucks? That would be cool!
@@schultonne i don't think so :D Here in Munich is a completely different system. Every fire Station has a chief/officer and they drive with marked MB Vito. But the chief of the hole FD drive a unmarked BMW 535d. And also the city fire inspector and the City fire chief drive BMW X3 and BMW X5. And here is a lot of other unmarked BMW stuff but mostly PD and EMS ;)
YoureDumbForLife Trust me, London has so many pumps. There are always enough units that can respond. Also, other stations go to the stations that are at a fire to be on stand-by and cover that patch
@@TheSpotResponses I would hope so but I fail to understand why this had so many units there? From my naive look at the video it does seem excessive. Whichever way you look at it, this is a big drain on other units resources and it would be good to understand why.
@@TheSpotResponses You are very lucky as the rest of the country is losing pumps, fire stations and firefighters. It seems budget cuts aren't affecting the capital the same as the rest of the country. Can't have the MP's worrying about their own safety can we.
Good Afternoon Hague, My name is Gamil Jassin and I'm currently working on a consumer programme for an independent production company. I wanted to use your amazing footage as GV for a package about fire safety. Would this be ok? Thank you in advance for your help. Best Gamil.
London Fire Brigade has never used scania fire appliances your proberly mistaken the Dennis Fire Trucks as most of the uk used them back in the 70's to the early 2000's John dennis still manufactor them but under the Emergency-One Seris for scania in the uk and europe trucks
Not at all. The Officers are given a standard lease allowance, have a check for yourself; premium cars are often chealer to lease s a lease is calculated on the future resale value of the car, some maunfacturers (such as BMW) offer very good lease deals to large lease compainies. Any cost over the standard allowance has to me met by the officer. LFB (and the public) could not afford the cost of providing cars for Officers, like lots of public & private sector businesses these days lease is much cheaper.
I heard of a police force who wanted new cars. They had a choice between jaguars or skodas. The jaguars were cheaper (the result of a lease deal as mentioned above), had better re-sale value, and better performance in speed and safety. The force went for the skodas because they thought they would be criticised for buying Jags. I'm glad LFB don't take any notice of un-informed opinions before buying their vehicles.

Great Plauge & Fires of London!
Must have been a diplomatic fire with all the flash BMW's coming.

Excellent upload, one of the best this year.
Appreciate it!

Great Fires of London. Fireman Sam.
Very nice. Reminds me of a New York City response. But where is the BIG fire ? I see smoke, but no infernal .
Nice catch!
112NoordWestNL Bedankt!!
Why do they need fire officers from Lewisham or Brixton
Because fire engines from those stations might be on scene.
maybe because there wasn't enough from all of the other stations
They were probably relocated because of this incident.
Amazing compilation!
Moscow 112/911 Thanks!
Great Vid , right place right time , 15PF , quite few FRU's on it , must been for EDBA 👍
brianbuilder Sometimes I can be quite lucky! And correct, the FRU’s were for the EDBA
Awesome catch!

Why do fire officers use unmarked vehicles?
So they can respond from home and use this vehicle for private purposes!
@@TheSpotResponses aha ok thanks
@TheHague112...or any British firefighter...how many pumps were in attendance at this fire? And what type of building was involved?
It was probably made up for BA i.e. manpower for searching not for firefighting. Unfortunately the fire engine is the only mode of transport.
Awesome footage !! Great video ^^
Urgences Genève Thank you so much! I was lucky again! When will your next London trip take place?
Do any of you know what vehicle Dany Cotton drives when she has to attend. Thats a brilliant video mate, your patience paid off
Cheers buddy! When I asked last year, they told me she will be picked up by a chauffeur in a BMW. Not sure what at the moment.

Awesome. But why two command units? Don't get that.
One is a Command and Control Unit . The other is a Support Unit ( Spare Breathing Apparatus Cylinders etc )
21st Century's Emergency Services.
Imagine if there was a major incident in one of the units own area when this was going on.
