May 26, 2024, my first trip to Mt Washington. I live in Vermont.. only 3 hours from the beautiful mountain! To all of the very hard-core skiers out there, with very little snow, I mean like spotty, I saw a guy hiking to a what looked like a small patch of snow with his skiis! 73° at the bottom of the mountain, 8.5 miles later and it was 58°!

Did you walk up with crampons and ice ax? What else did you bring safety wise?
Just crampons! Nothing was steep or icy enough to need the axe that day. Honestly, a lot of it would have been totally doable just with ski boots
