  • This is part 14 of my Mini Pinzgauer M712 6x6 replica build. I'm starting with an old Polaris Big Boss 250cc 6x6. It seemed like the perfect machine to cut apart for my build because it was broken down, free, and had a lot of good parts to convert to a cab forward side x side project.

I know it wasn’t an option but think a 3 color (brown, black, green) camo like the old army trucks would look sweet on that. Otherwise I saw flat brown. Not the primer brown. Great video as usual!

I totally agree. Camo would make an interesting video and would make the Pinz pop. However, if camo isn't to your liking than put me in for olive drab.

Cool door latches - simple and effective. I have to remember your solution. Might end up using it on some project in the future. And there are indeed people who always complain about everything. Can't change'em and can't be bothered. I vote for the brown you have on it already.

@@Mikefestiva it’s to bad you didn’t have an eject button on your computer for the complainers. It’s just annoys the crap out of me that people take the time to complain…… when they could say …. Hey that’s really cool. Thanks for sharing. That gives me an idea or wow , I never thought of doing it that way. I don’t care what anyone builds. As long as they are doing something with their life that’s productive. And even if i didn’t like what they did. I would just keep my mouth shut because it would only be my opinion and my opinion only !!!! Just sit back and enjoy. It’s really not that hard. Thanks for asking about the colors. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them. Only part of the class will agree anyway. But who cares. It’s your build and it’s awesome and I have enjoyed each video. And thanks for the reminder. Tammy and I are getting t shirts 👕 this time around. Have a good one Mike

As far as a color for the Mini Pinz, I'd have to go with the TAN only because you see so many green ones already, but it would set off the whole build to be MilSpec Olive Green.

I say Tan, but I would coat the lower 6-8" with something like a bed-liner material to keep it from getting ruined. Plus that would give you a good reason for a two-tone Tan over Brown look.

Oh Hell Yea!! Love this truck build, I vote the flat Tan. Also, consider truck bed liner [spray on, roll on] for the inside of the bed area, also works good on the floor boards where your feet scuffle up the finish, AND inside the wheel wells to protect the sheet metal that is exposed to the crap the tires kick up. Truck bed liner works well for making the vehicle a little more water proof, and also has an effect on sound deadening too! Show us what product you choose and how to apply it. This vehicle has showed us all kinds of great ideas, truly an inspirational build! And don't sweat the fact that anyone complained about your production, any of us looking to learn something from your build is more than happy to hear and what it is you are thinking. Keep going, don't stop what your doing, its all great work!

Olive Drab. That is the color for sure. Tan is nice also, but a flat olive drab is the best choice for color IMHO.
I’m guessing I am way too late, but I tried. LOL.
Thanks for continuing this build. I really enjoy it.

The simple primer brown would be great look and easy to repair but it's so soft it'll be stripped from end to end by rubbing through limbs so I have to go with olive green. Thanks for sharing another great build with us.

Ignore the haters, you don’t talk too much and your music is awesome! Cool groove in the drum break. I also liked the Genesis Easter egg.

Another great video Mike …and you don’t talk to much, you talk when it’s needed to make the video excellent! Don’t spend any time worrying about the negative comments! I have to go with OD Green (spent 8 hrs in the Army - lol), but I think some tan accents might fit in well! Keep up the great work!

I wote for flat tan with black bed and details!
But if it would be mine i would have painted it red, reminds me of a small unimog rescue wehicle!
Thanks for uploading, and talk more! 👍

My 5 yo son has been watching this build with me (and your other videos). He votes for GREEN! Great job on your builds. I've been itching to get a mini truck the past few years. After introducing our son to your videos, I think the mini truck projects would be a great way to introduce him to auto, metal and general fab work. Thank you!
