I can completely relate to these guys. I bought a $20,000 sawmill to cut up lumber to build structure. Really, I bought it to build a cabin, barn and shooting houses, but we cut a lot of stakes for crappie structures.
Its actually really simple, I should have added it. They actually build these structures on their boats. Once completed they tip the structure to slide in a small piece of paneling that they prop under the structure but off of the boat. Then they simply tip the structure the other way, off of the boat. The structure (and the paneling) fall into the water and then the weight of the cinder blocks tilt it upright once it hits the water. They mark their structure with their gps and then retrieve the paneling for the next launch. Dude claims to have over 5000 of these inside Percy Priest and these two ALWAYS catch fish!
I've sunk all kinds of stuff from pvc to wood structures ive found cedar and hickory trees to be the best at holding fish one my hickory trees I sunk bout 3 years ago holds crappie all twae round depends on the time of year as to how big they are but great tips from these experts 👍
How long does this wood last? How long do the deck screws last? Are these coated screws or stainless? Pallet wood and construction scrap is probably what I can get free.

Looks good fellas! I tried making brush piles by tieing boulders to big branches with 65# test braid. The boulders sunk but the trees floated. 🤦
