I love when people get mad at your opinion. I test and use lots of steels and S35VN is way down on my list of steels I like, many I'd take before S35VN.
Outpost 76 Do you not agree that CRK’s S35vn is better than others and does better in retention tests than some companies m390? That is what is said, anyway. I don’t know if it’s true or not.
@@johnm.runyon3682 CRK and Demko have the best production S35VN so far. Yes it's good for S35VN and it's done better than a lot of M390. On the flip side well done M390 almost doubles what CRK S35VN can do. Why I don't really like S35VN is its largely run soft in a production setting. I've tested quite a few different S35VN and used even more at this point to come to that conclusion.
@@BuffaloNickel9 I have a Para 3 in S45VN coming to test but I haven't used the CRK done S45VN yet. I'll have some info on the steel in general in the next week or so.
You produce great material 👍 Don’t waste videos explaining yourself. Your channel is just that, “Your Channel !” Stick to your fan base and continue kicking ass 👊🏼👊🏼⚔️⚔️
I've now bought and sold both a small sebenza (Magnacut) and large inkosi (S45). CRK just isn't for me and I don't really understand the hype, but I am glad lots of people are enjoying CRK.
Great video! Nice job explaining where you're coming from on your opinion of this knife. It's like the 1911 guys who become absolutely livid if you say anything against that pistol. Like spit-screaming mad at their computer screen when they read it. I have owned 1911s and will again. I love them, but I also see their shortcomings. Seems that every community has a small group who have really drank the Kool-Aid on some brand/model. It's like the product becomes part of their identity, so they feel personally attacked if you don't sing its praises. I find it pretty funny.
You and I are very much alike when it comes to your steel philosophy. I agree that we have so many steals now that surpass S35VN that it is hard to justify the price. Not to say i won't ever own one but it would not be for the steel but for the name on the knife.
This is a pretty fair objective review. For me, I love my CRK’s. In my view, there’s no better choice for a folder. I own dozens of knives from Shirogorov, G&G Hawk, Strider, Hinderer, Southard, Les George, Spartan etc. More often than not, I have a Lg CRK in my pocket. One major selling point to a CRK is longevity. I can’t think of another brand that comes close in this regard. I have a Lg 21 from 2009 that I carried for many years. The lock bar hasn’t moved a millimeter. And, the hollow grind gives tremendous life to the blade as opposed to a flat grind that’ll thicken with repeated sharpening. Also, CRK’s after purchase services are industry leading. Spa treatments, blade replacements and true customer service are all top notch. When it comes down to it, a CRK Is a very simple time tested design that is brilliantly executed. I’d love to see them use 20CV
Despite what the fanboys say, if they made this in S90V/M390 etc I would almost have to pick one up to experience a CRK. It really comes down to the steel choice for me. Great video by the way, shame you had to spend time addressing the militant metallurgists lol
Unfortunately I don’t think they’re struggling to sell them so I doubt they’ll make the change. If they do it’ll probably be to S45VN, just guessing though 🤷🏼♂️

Meanwhile the 2011 exists but it didn’t win any world wars 😂 lol I completely agree. That’s an excellent parallel.
Bearded Gear Exactly! 🤣
Well said dude. 🤘
Thanks man! 🤙🏻
Awesome video man. I got rid of my sebenza and bought an inkosi. I like it alot better overall.
I’ve been hearing a lot more people say they prefer the inkosi than I expected. One of these days I’ll try one of those!

THEY OWN A LOAD OF S35VN
In which state do you live?

The fact you feel you have to explain your opinion on a knife is ridiculous to me! People can be turds
