Nice. Pickaxe & Glyph for an indestuctible creature was the first thing I did with Ixalan, You can do something similar with the Valgavoth lands for hexproof creatures, then copy with City Under Siege.
just for the first few games. as soon as you win enough, you play against better decks, up to tier1 if you can win non stop :D it s also depends of the deck. i think the matchmaker has some kind of "card-weight" rating and commons can have a "higher weight" too if the are much played in tier1/2 decks.

I tried this deck and I love that if I animate an diamond pick axe others just concede

Do you consider 1 - 2 rare card builds budget? Those would be cool too cuz I don't really know how to upgrade these once I get graced with a rare
