Ours was Ruby.. We went and visited her after she retired. I missed her so much. My family was poor. But, both parents worked. They had to let her go when the government changed the wages. It was better for her but mostly for those younger than her. It hurt her. I will never forget her. She was my second mom as a young child. We were so poor. I was born in 67. I know she was living alone by the time I was 6. When we'd go visit her...there was never any family around or mentioned. It was sad. I will never forget her.

Both of my grandmothers worked in other homes and mothered heart children. We missed them when they were working and as I have gotten older, I understand a little more. Blessings

Regarding #6: Can you explain to me why Southern Christians are rarely Catholic? I don't want to get into a religious debate, I just don't understand why such godly people turn their back on the 1st Church. Fast forward to today, and you have over 20,000 different types of Protestants. And the believers today see the problems with the forefathers of Protestantism when it comes to contextual biblical history and the scriptures. "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. Just found your channel yesterday and was thinking you were just like all the other channels out there UNTIL I saw this video. You are a Sister in Christ and that love of Him is overflowing out of you. If you receive any negative comments on your Christianity just wear it as a badge of honor and read John 15:18-25. I play the guitar and have written some praise songs but feel the same way about singing in public...It's the introvert in me so I just don't do it anymore it's excruciatingly painful! lol But your voice sounds so sweet and pure....good for you for letting that praise of the Lord come through you. Well I obviously had to subscribe....looking forward to watching all your videos!
That’s interesting, I saw her channel and it instantly stuck out as NOT like the other channels at all, I’ve watched quite a few R and R vids, and it became the only gardening channel that didn’t have any irritating little annoyance about it at all, just a good, happy vibe, and useful information...points #5 and #6 instantly stuck out for me, too, (as well as her love for her extra family member, and the cute little family of India..that made me want to go hug all the “untouchable” people there as well, I saw the man, too with the foot problems, I’m sure he also takes the social hits... I’m 100% on board with her on all fronts), and by #5 and #6, I knew it had a lot to do with it, but I hadn’t made the assumption at all, but it’s a great story, healing can indeed happen instantly like that. Just watching trees and food grow in size and mass proves miracles and proves God, all the molecular components just lying around can’t be made into anything solid and useful in the zillions of ways in the form of plants and animals and people that we have all around us without His hand in it. No man or woman can do anything without the genetic codes and the components themselves given to them, not a thing. They could spend a billion years and never be able to turn the components of an oak tree into an oak tree without a cutting, a seed, or other form of propagation, let alone something with an exquisite color and scent like a flower has, or something with a heartbeat, or even one single simple cell which has so many intricate, interdependent, interwoven, complex systems within just the one cell alone, not even counting the even more complex plant or body systems systems that depend on the complex compilation of ever more intricate interdependent and interwoven systems, none of which could have ever formed over time, they had to be made simultaneously...the odds of which even one single cell doing so go beyond being able to be numerologically written out in longhand... They’ll never be able to turn raw components into squat without the recipes, the seeds, the ingredients given to us by Him. There’s only one Creator, so I wonder how people can just skim over that obvious fact and right on into denial. Scientists are now so backed into a corner, they’re finally pulling out the card they’ve had in their back pocket all along, the one they’ve been planting into the minds of the masses for decades, because they knew this day would come...they now admit there has to be a higher intelligence, so they’re pulling the predictively programmed alien card. Even Richard Dawkins has gone there, but some of the world saw it coming, and are not falling for it. Jesus was and is exactly who he said he was. Jess, my name is Don Russell and I live in Bartlett Tn. I just wanted to let you know that I am one of your biggest fans and enjoy your videos so much. I just watched your video of 18 things about your personal life and it blessed me so much. Even before watching it my spirit bore witness with yours and had already told me that you were a Christian, but hearing your testimony certainly confirmed what I already strongly suspected. I have a very small raised bed garden that I am hesitant to show you because you have such a show place of a garden. I have four raised beds totaling 112 sq feet with 32 tomato plants and several cayenne peppers and a few herbs. I also have a few sprouts from seed that I have in pots. I know I’m way late with theses dwarfs and even if I do have tomatoes it won’t be until September but maybe they will come on as my others are dying out. So you see what I mean. You are a great communicator and I have no doubt that you will excel as you continue developing your writing skills and I want to buy your first published book. I have gathered strength from watching you love your family, animals and garden. We farmed in Texas for the first part of our marriage (44 years). We were forced to move to the big city after my son was burned at age 18 months. We needed to be closer to the the burn center. He is now 39 and a gifted leader and inspiration in many areas of his church. I truly believe God burned the spirit of compassion in him. After he was married he decided to get his nursing degree. Jess, my name is Don Russell and I live in Bartlett Tn. I just wanted to let you know that I am one of your biggest fans and enjoy your videos so much. I just watched your video of 18 things about your personal life and it blessed me so much. Even before watching it my spirit bore witness with yours and had already told me that you were a Christian, but hearing your testimony certainly confirmed what I already strongly suspected. I have a very small raised bed garden that I am hesitant to show you because you have such a show place of a garden. I have four raised beds totaling 112 sq feet with 32 tomato plants and several cayenne peppers and a few herbs. I also have a few sprouts from seed that I have in pots. I know I’m way late with theses dwarfs and even if I do have tomatoes it won’t be until September but maybe they will come on as my others are dying out. So you see what I mean. You are a great communicator and I have no doubt that you will excel as you continue developing your writing skills and I want to buy your first published book. If you see this and respond please let me know exactly where in Arkansas y’all are located, who knows I may even come by sometime to meet you and Miah. I’m a farm girl in the city, currently working on ways to maximize my growing space on a 75x100’ lot in Southern California. It is actually proving to be a fun challenge. Your vertical gardening tips are very inspiring! I’m growing grape vines on wire arches to create some shade for the hot spot in my garden, and so far am super happy with it.

You are a beautiful person inside and out. I have been binge watching you channel for awhile, you are a stunning angel of God. I have gathered strength from watching you love your family, animals and garden. We farmed in Texas for the first part of our marriage (44 years). We were forced to move to the big city after my son was burned at age 18 months. We needed to be closer to the the burn center. He is now 39 and a gifted leader and inspiration in many areas of his church. I truly believe God burned the spirit of compassion in him. After he was married he decided to get his nursing degree. He has excelled in all of the paths he has taken. God Bless you all.💜🙏🏼
