    You have gone in depth to explain cable selection and voltage drop factors. I would like to see how you arrive at the MCB, RCCB, and MCCB selection. This is a very important topic that might have escaped your attention. Please do let me know what are the limits for such devices.

    Sir, I have 60 KW 3phase load & 100 kw 1phase load. What will be the total load to select a transformer?

    • @ElectricalStuff

      your total load 160KW , you power should be 3phase and generally for this load transformer not recommended.
      may i know which country these details belongs (different country different standards , however your breaker rating 350A . further any clarification please let me know.

    As we are using XLPE with thermosetting temperature of 90 degree Celsius, we will be using the same column (of Table 4B1). In BS 7671 Table 4B1, it is mentioned as Rating factor (Ca), but why in this video "grouping factor" is described throughout, 10:53 , kindly solve this doubt

      @ElectricalStuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As per regulations voltage drop shall not more than 4%of the supply voltage . Our 3 pH main supply voltage is 400 then 4% of the main supply we can write as 400 ×4 / 100 = 16v
      So we can say that out voltage drop shall not be more than 16v for 3 phase

    according to chart for 243 amps the cable size is 120 mm2 but u said it is 70 mm2 ....how?

    • @ElectricalStuff
      @ElectricalStuff  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi ashmitha
      Thanks for watching and your question is valid
      At 25.38min you can find manufacturer cable chart . For 243 A cable size 70mm2 .
      The next I post a chart it is thumb rule based. Where you can get cable size 120 mm2 .
      For cable calculation many factors and methods are available . Length installation methods so if you can follow thumb rule for general case .
      If you have available all factors length and installation methods then follow the first method you can find calculation process at 22min on words .
      Further if you have clarification please feel free to ask .
      But cable calculation procedure which i explain is correct need to find cable current from chart itself .

    • @ElectricalStuff
      @ElectricalStuff  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi ashmitha further
      243A is cable current . Not load current
      Next chart is for load current and cable charts ( thumb rule based )
      So For our case load current 200A
      For 200A cable size is 95a
      The same I mention In my video .

    What is the total connected load to be assumed in calculation for the building?

    • @ElectricalStuff
      @ElectricalStuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is two parts we can consider
      1- Total load based on transformer selection
      ex: 1000 KVA transformer you can load upto 800KW so you can select your requirement accordingly
      2- Calculate all load in building then choose your transformer .
      I hope you understand further i make a simple concept of load and schematic diagram in this video th-cam.com/video/glPML24xvHg/w-d-xo.html

    Sir i have one doubt , please explain me that how we choose core, i mean in 3phase how to select cable core it may be 3core, 3.5 core and 4 core also?

    • @ElectricalStuff
      @ElectricalStuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      core is nothing but conductor size , conductor size depend upon the current caring capacity ,generally we use 1ph and 3ph supply .
      in this 1 ph supply means one phase ,neutral & earth .
      in this we can use 3 core cables or three individual single core wires can be use to 1 phase power supply
      3phase means 3 phase wires and one neutral , one earth
      so we have 4 core cables to use for this purpose and earth separate or we can go for 5 core cables ( generally not recommended because of cost ) .
      3.5 core where three phase are same size of conductor and neutral conductor size is half that is the reason it called as 3.5 core . i did not use this cable
      i hope you understand this concept.
      further any doubts please let me know

    • @ElectricalStuff

      Yes cable size is 70 is enough
      But as per regulations 4 percent through out from mdb to final load
