I'm guessing she just hasn't wanted to be a soloist. Sometimes when you watch the other members who did solo promotions you realize that maybe that isn't for you. I think if she wanted to do something more than the occasional variety show appearance that her uncle would green light it. She may just really enjoy living her life largely away from the spotlight.

If anyone is wondering why Author Swimming is written in the tittle of this video, it's because Sooyoung is the Korean translation for swimming. They might have use a translator that's why it's like that.
It's not a big deal but I hope it would be fixed.
Yeah, a bit like how IZ*One's Minju was often translated as Democracy. Only if you see the Hanja characters used for Min and Ju or Soo and Young do the name's proper meanings come forth and Korean to English programs don't usually have the AI to realize that a person's name requires more finesse.
