i’m working on repairing my 73 to 80 GM clock. The mechanism is pretty much the same as the Corvette clock. Maybe it’s exactly the same. Anyway, I need to get a new winding spring. Any ideas where? I’ve looked online but not having much luck.
There are no replacement parts for these clocks unfortunately. Wether GM, Chrysler, Ford, all the clocks are similar in design as a points style electro mechanical movement. You would have to find someone that repaires these and has parts clocks in stock such as myself. Redline gauge works may as well have parts but other than the two of us I don't know of anyone else in the industry that does. Most just convert to quartz and toss the moment. You can call me @ Todds Restorations 763 290 0474 if you want to see if I have that spring. Todd
