Jordan what you have done here in four months is absolutely unbelievable. Take your time, don’t blow every cent on brick orders right away, and just focus on the task you decide will be in front of you at any one time. Your core viewers are here for the long haul to see whatever you do next, and the longer it takes the more content we will have and be happy to watch! There is no ticking timer to get any one project done, we want you to enjoy your time and your family just as much as we want to see what you will build next.
You have inspired me to make my first lego moc after watching all your videos and watching every Lego city you have done grow and evolve truly has been inspirational. I need some advice though how to do a pitched industrial roof that is going to be 32 bricks wide and at a low pitch as im baffled with how to make it as its an old converted barn building . Any advice will be greatly appreciated Thankyou
Getting down to taking apart those mountains and plates from your old layout to gain parts for the new layout is a very smart idea. Get that task out of the way before you start rebuilding the new City layout. Love your videos on improvements to the studio and getting your Lego set up 😊
Take your time and don’t rush the process ! It’s a huge project with a lot of parts needed. We will be patient and tune in regardless of how small of an adjustment to the city you make!
100% agree on your approach here. The details don't matter until the overall structure is in place; don't want to waste time and money on something that could be completely changed down the road. That being said, it could be nice to have small detailing projects now and then (for areas that you know are finalized) to give some more variety in the videos. The rock detailing for the cove in the last video was great.
The cove looks great! Have you considered using the lighthouse as the end cap for the strip of rocks? That would make sense and me it look less crowded where the lighthouse currently is.
Jordan, you are doing great with your project. So sit down calm down and get a breather in. Nobody expects you to have this city complete by next week, in a month or a year. So don’t worry about the white spaces. That’s part of the journey. Just do what any Lego fan does work with what you got and then you can spent the time to expand. Don’t worry if there are colourful backsides visible… the way you are running around feeling sorry for not having the parts you need to complete that table you need to remind yourself that this might as well take years to complete. Otherwise what are you going to do in the coming years when your table is already full. Don’t worry about the parts, just build what you can even if it is incomplete. AND just hang those bloody artworks already or that won’t happen until you finish the city!
Lighthouse water doesn't work. It's lighter up next to the deep blue water. I feel if you moved it over 1 full 12x12 plate and used that plate to transition up to dk blue waves crashing up onto rock and calmer waters on the other side..might look good. But something needs to happen. Looks Weird. And where's the fishing shack pier?? People fishing off it would look cool!!! There are fishing rods on bricklink 😊
I absolutely agree the overall structure comes first before the nitty gritty details because doing the overall layout will help you determine if changes need to be made before you put too much work in any particular spot. It may not be a bad idea to mark out in some way where your mountain range is but at the same time, you have had so much experience on city layouts in constrained spaces I have no doubts on your ability to visualize spaces.
It’s crazy what you’ve built in such a short time. I love the plan to get structure in place before completing the details. Thanks for sharing the journey with us
Hi Bricksie. So pleased to see the UV window coverings done. I think muted sunight is nice, even if you have to adjust your camera settings. Here's a big thanks to Granny for helping Jose, so you can be in the Studio. I love all your ideas and plans for the City. The previous builds were customised for your old city. Now it is indeed a new era, and time for bigger and better City areas. You need to continue with whatever basics you can, until your HUGE order arrives in the Fall. Imagine how busy you'll be then!!
Jordan, you are doing an amazing job. The island idea is great. I wish you would leave your loft windows fully visible. They look so cool and make the environment better. Keep up the excellent work.
If you're feeling like you're at a stand still while you wait for parts - you could work on stuff like hanging the art or reviewing some sets that came out that you haven't had time to build yet. Loving the look and feel of the city so far!
Love following the progress on this new layout! Please don’t stress it. This is your project and we all know it’s going to take a lot of time, a lot of trial and error, and a lot of parts! I would suggest making the cliff of the lighthouse act as the end of your man-made cove. Maybe with a small walkway for people to be able to visit it? Also, I know I’ve said it before, but integrating Rivendell into your mountain range and having the water flow down into Ninjago and the canal would be amazing!
I love your idea for the castle diorama and the water in front of the shipping port looks AMAZING. Also, I think your new solution for the windows is a really good compromise between protecting your Lego and helping your sanity. Getting some sunlight and being able to see the day/night cycle is surprisingly important. Trust me, I’ve worked jobs where I couldn’t see the outside at all, no windows or anything, for twelve hours. It’s rough.
Love the look of the water. Great job!! Something I can’t get out my head…all I can envision is a killer whale jumping over the breakwater with a lego figure on the rocks like “Free Willy” 😂
You could add a vulcano on the medieval island. Like above the cove where the pirate ship would be. And some LED lights to light the inside of the vulcano and lava streams flowing down towards the cove. :)
Hia Jordan I 100% agree! In fact this is what I’ve been saying to myself all along, I just didn’t want to leave another comment because there has been way too many opinions left on here and I saw your frustration with all the comments after each and every one of your recent videos. I put it up there with your excitement for a new place and how big you can go with your newest layout. But you have have to remember three things: 1) At the end of the day this is your new layout and town. 2) I feel that you are going to be here for years at your new studio. Rome wasn’t built in one day. So don’t rush into you ideas because with all the excitement and some of your great ideas will get lost in the shuffle. 3) I have been a long time follower of you and you tend to come up with new layouts and change around your city a lot (in which I totally enjoy 😉) so nothing is set in stone and nothing is ever concrete. With all this said you have a new space/studio to expand your ideas and your lego. It seems that you are trying to adapt to your old layout and have confined your ideas to that smaller space. So yes please take a moment and break apart the zoo and expand it. Along with your mountains, even the snowy village. Try to lay out the lands to what you like then go back and develop those lands to your thoughts and ideas. You are very creative and have a very positive attitude, use these talents to your advantage. If you just concentrate on one little bit of your city you are boxing yourself in on that whole new layout. Have fun bud and this is not your old layout this is all new. Roughly layout your ideas, map it out sort of then expand your old city layout sets to match your new layout!
Consider moving the lighthouse to the very corner plate at the end of the boardwalk over towards the boutique hotel. Would make a cool bit of height over there and a nice end of the boardwalk
Nice one. A lot of viewer’s are really invested in your project and being able to share a different vision of the same goal can help you make better decisions. Not that you need help… you got this. Quoting bricksie “Trust the process”. Can I hear a waterfall from the upper to lower table.
Great plan. It is so satisfying to see the base layouts of the city, beach, cove and boat yard. I can't wait to see the countryside and mountain start to take shape.
Definitely seperating the medieval sets is a great idea! I didnt know you had soo many castles. Also looks like you could get some of the current offerings on the Lego site as well to increase the the space used for that medieval theme. I think a cool idea would be to give each castle its own land or kingdom in this case and have them maybe at the 4 corners of your display. I just imagine Game of Thrones when I see all the different castles with different aesthetics and banners
I didn't want to suggest it but I am glad you came to the same conclusion that you need to undo most of the builds so that you can make the new Lego table even more epic!
The city Jordan looks great love the water. Love the new additions of the harbor & train yard. Another idea & tbh is the only thing your city’s missing now would be an airport which would be really cool. You’d have boats, trains & planes in the new layout. Looks great keep up the great work!!
On your 2 drama tables in the other 2 rooms, maybe you should put gray base plates with some rocks 🪨. And something of the Star Wars figures walking around space ships!! That would look great 👍. It's just something to think about. 🤔🤩
Where is the mansion going? I was hopeful to see that on the island with the underwater section you had under the tables in the basement. Maybe two smaller diorama tables. Just a thought. I really like the direction of the city as a whole. Everyone has their own thoughts on every move. Have fun, don't stress. Build more...lol
Love the water and beach looks good . Every time I watch I think the parts would be so much better in the room down stairs easy access and the display sets upstairs where you work and get to look at them all day .
always good see your videos! recently i’ve been passing a bad moments in my life, but your videos with legos helps me a lot! thanks for everything Jordan!
The awakening moment we all watched you go through about using the previous used parts from the old setup to the new setup was really refreshing that this will be a tribute to all the cities that have come before and not just a copy, truly inspirational, Would love to see a coast guard air station where you have the helicopter in front of the beach area
You could get into white brick! Start figuring the winter zone placement and height etc?got to admit, medieval island IS a really good idea 👍🏻The subway design could probably do with some thinking out too. You've got plenty to get into 😝 DESTRUCTION!!! (Can be strangely satisfying!)
Suggestion: with you Castle island freeing up space now. Moving the zoo being over could free up potential downtown area for the future expansion (we all know you are a modular addict :) ). Love where you are taking everything, it's already looking great!
The water looks very good so far! In my opinion if you want to make it more realistic I think you should leave the plates that have open spots on them and just fill them with the water elements as it would be a bit more realistic to real oceans.
Hey Bricksie, I have been following your LEGO city progression for a long time. I remember the start of the city layout in your basement! I have a suggestion for the progression of your current city. Your next step is to tear down all the parts of the city that have to be rebuilt or don't fit into the new city anymore. After that you will have a surplus of pieces that keep you busy building more modular base plates. However by making just base plates, there still is no real elevation happening. Maybe you could make some basic height changes that give the viewers a better understanding of how tall the mountain range will be or the snowy mountains. That way you also get a better feeling of the seclusion between the different parts of the city (Now your countryside still feels very connected to downtown area and even the amusement park). Just some ideas to keep in mind. Love the progress and we all live through you as we could only dream of building a city like yours!
Install the tv on a bracket from the ceiling that can be pulled down from middle of the room and pushed up in ceiling when not in used. Rotated to view from couch or 360 anywhere in room
Would you think about making a (little) medieval version of your modern city instead an island? Cities evolve over the time, a medieval harbour with houses and farms and a castle will grow to be something like the BIG BIG BIG city you are building. Worth it a secon though?
Love the idea of the island but instead of surrounding it with water why not surround each castle with a moat. That way the water is running through the whole diarama
You could have your dungeon that you had built into the raised platform in the former city under the new island like you are planning to have a subway under the new city. You could also add mines, trolls, Gollum’s cave, and the like under your table.
What about a telescope upstairs to view the city through? You could hide little Easter eggs that are only visible from there and make a game out of it. Just a thought. Keep up the great work!
Question re: medieval island: would the idea be that this was an original fortress and the castles are "real" in the Lego world? (eg a fortified town hundreds of years old... in which case you could also add some ruins dotted throughout) Because what popped into my head would be to also put the amusement park on the island like the whole thing is a castle-theme park so you could have rides mixed in with castles, plus the Disney castle will fit right in with both. And then it could be serviced by a ferry dock crossing the water from the main city to the island. Plus, you could make one of the bigger castles into a themed hotel. Either way, it's gonna be cool.
Hey Jordan, you may want to consider building a small simple frame on castor wheels for the new diorama, you can then move it around a little without having to take it all apart if you ever need to move around the studio.
You should look into using part 23405 (Panel 1 x 6 x 5 with Corrugated Profile) for you storage containers in your boat area. Lego sets have used them for this purpose in the past.
Hmm, on the castle town island, just a suggestion, you should integrate in a castle style seaport, whether it’s the BDP series 4? seaport is up to you but it would benefit from not just the Viking port but also a castle one that integrates with the main castle city. I have seen some amazing castle layouts at conventions in half the space you have setup so you definitely have lots of opportunities for so much creativity here but it also depends on how much focus you want to put on it vs the beautiful city you are constructing. My personal projects get constrained in the same way of choosing what to focus on.
How about moving the lighthouse half a baseplate in (chop a blue in half?) and have the water connect around while the lighthouse connects to the pier/wavebreaker?
Have you concidered moving your amusent park back a couple of baseplate (toward the future mountain/winter village)? This would free up 12 or so base plates in the rear corner for a small airport or race track. Maybe a small soccer or hockley statium with parking? Lot of way you could go and would add a little more diversity to your city.
Hey Jordan, our family enjoys watching your videos. Thank you for the great content. We are looking forward to the country side expansion and we're thinking a nice farm house would look good with the barn.
Must say, I have been watching every1 of your videos since u got the new space, odd 1 here and there before hand, but watching you has been giving me a lot of inspiration on my own little city build so for that, thank u very much!!!
Would be cool to see a Red Rocks amphitheater in the mountain. Or a sports stadium. Or a Halloween village. Or a NASA area. Anyway cool work man! Love how it’s coming along.
I have an idea for a video: make a layout on a piece of paper (or multiple) so you can draw and sketch out the size various items (where will the mountain be in relation to downtown, etc.) I think this will give people a good visual indication of what your plans are instead of trying to remember from one video to the next
Love the Island with medieval theme. Perhaps you can integrate a pirate theme there and create 2 smaller Islands ( one for castles and a pirates treasure island. there on the same tables using water tiles.
that water plate next to the light house might look better as like transitioning between the deep blue sea to the calmer waters of the shore. But still, the water is looking sick
I think you need to go into a rotation plan work on an area then order what you need then move to another area that use different parts so order what you need this. It allows you to orders be smaller while getting the cheaper prices and you keep from getting bored. Also the window overs looks better.
Jordan what you have done here in four months is absolutely unbelievable. Take your time, don’t blow every cent on brick orders right away, and just focus on the task you decide will be in front of you at any one time. I like the medivial island idea, but you should add like a Pirates of the Caribbean style harbor and incorporate some pirate theming if possible

You should move the light house one spot to the right toward the beach. Opens up the harbor.

Free Bricky 🫣
The cove has the perfect rocks to match that scene! xD
@@screennamemissing Right?! Absolultely!
Love all the content and excited to see the castle diorama island. Great job bricksie.
I will just say in regards to the city not being 'finished', try not to stress about it, its a huge space, enjoy the time and enjoy your hobby! :)
You could add a vulcano on the medieval island. Like above the cove where the pirate ship would be. And some LED lights to light the inside of the vulcano and lava streams flowing down towards the cove. :)
@bricksie The waves in the cove should be going the same way as the ones along the beach :P I,m just a little of OCD with the wave angles.
Hia Jordan I 100% agree! duplo is great when building things like mountains.
Consider moving the lighthouse to the very corner plate at the end of the boardwalk over towards the boutique hotel. Would make a cool bit of height over there and a nice end of the boardwalk
That water looks fantastic!
You should raise the cove one plate to look good when u place the water tiles
Nice one. A lot of viewer’s are really invested in your project and being able to share a different vision of the same goal can help you make better decisions. Not that you need help… you got this. Quoting bricksie “Trust the process”.
Can I hear a waterfall from the upper to lower table.
I envy your motivation! Thank you for sharing your hobby. Lego is so fun
Hey Little by Little, it will get done. There no need to rush. Enjoy your dream we are here for the ride
Great plan. It is so satisfying to see the base layouts of the city, beach, cove and boat yard. I can't wait to see the countryside and mountain start to take shape.

The castle area will be 172 000 + studs all together
always good see your videos! recently i’ve been passing a bad moments in my life, but your videos with legos helps me a lot! thanks for everything Jordan!
The water is so cool
The awakening moment we all watched you go through about using the previous used parts from the old setup to the new setup was really refreshing that this will be a tribute to all the cities that have come before and not just a copy, truly inspirational,
Would love to see a coast guard air station where you have the helicopter in front of the beach area
Another cool set for the mid-evil island would be Rivendale from lord of the rings
Enjoying watching the city develop. Will you be adding a farmhouse to the farm in the new countryside plan?
Suggestion: with you Castle island freeing up space now. Moving the zoo being over could free up potential downtown area for the future expansion (we all know you are a modular addict :) ). Love where you are taking everything, it's already looking great!
Glad you are adding a public boat ramp that will really tie that area together! City is looking great
That cove turned out really, really well. Nice job.
I'm really excited about the medieval island expansion. I can't wait for those videos!! Right up my alley.
The cargo boat definitly needs to be updated
Suspension bridge from one table to another. Would be amazing
I love the cargo ship.
Everyday the city looks better and better
If you are going to make the medieval island you must add a huge battlefield!
Great looking shirt Jordan! City's looking great too!
I love the medieval area so much! Can’t wait to see it expanded and up front… with a Viking ship??!! Killer! 🎉🎉🎉
Question re: medieval island: would the idea be that this was an original fortress and the castles are "real" in the Lego world? (eg a fortified town hundreds of years old... in which case you could also add some ruins dotted throughout)
Because what popped into my head would be to also put the amusement park on the island like the whole thing is a castle-theme park so you could have rides mixed in with castles, plus the Disney castle will fit right in with both. And then it could be serviced by a ferry dock crossing the water from the main city to the island. Plus, you could make one of the bigger castles into a themed hotel.

Hey Jordan, you may want to consider building a small simple frame on castor wheels for the new diorama, you can then move it around a little without having to take it all apart if you ever need to move around the studio.
The water looks awesome.
You should look into using part 23405 (Panel 1 x 6 x 5 with Corrugated Profile) for you storage containers in your boat area. Lego sets have used them for this purpose in the past.
Your water design looks great!
The waves are looking awesome. You should add a underwater are under those waves
Water looks great. Lighthouse looks a bit awkward there. Maybe you could build it into the cove wall?
The medieval island could include a pirate area on the island, there could be a story between the knights and pirates and Vikings
Look great
You could maybe use the 8x8 grated plates for the train yard
Hmm, on the castle town island, just a suggestion, you should integrate in a castle style seaport, whether it’s the BDP series 4? seaport is up to you but it would benefit from not just the Viking port but also a castle one that integrates with the main castle city.
Can't wait to see the new mountains.
Nothing short of amazing
Not ripped apart but upgraded
I have an idea for a video: make a layout on a piece of paper (or multiple) so you can draw and sketch out the size various items (where will the mountain be in relation to downtown, etc.) I think this will give people a good visual indication of what your plans are instead of trying to remember from one video to the next
I like the island idea, surrounding it with water. Plus you can add a Rocky Mountain on that as well. 🏝️ 👍🏽👏🏽
A warehouse for all the freight coming off the ships would be cool and maybe an office for customs ect...
Love the Island with medieval theme. Perhaps you can integrate a pirate theme there and create 2 smaller Islands ( one for castles and a pirates treasure island. there on the same tables using water tiles.
You should make something above the lego city. A castle on clouds or something like that. That would be very cool
that water plate next to the light house might look better as like transitioning between the deep blue sea to the calmer waters of the shore. But still, the water is looking sick
Digging the shirt!
I started to moc, I'm at 3 moc now... I cannot express how much respect I gained for your job since haha
You need to invest in a lot of construction worker minifigs. Place them everywhere something needs to be built as a placeholder.
I like the castle island idea
I think you need to go into a rotation plan work on an area then order what you need then move to another area that use different parts so order what you need this. It allows you to orders be smaller while getting the cheaper prices and you keep from getting bored.
Also the window overs looks better.
you could do under water scenes in the best units under the medieval table
make a gaint rolercoaster over and through the moutain
I like your approach. I’m thinking thematic builds. Like building the snow village during the month of December and the camp grounds in October.
Using the cabinets under the medieval island means you will have a place for underwater scenes? Take your time bricksie , enjoy the journey. Tfs
It would be great to move the lighthouse a bit more to the right (away from the harbor) and connect it to the cove. And at a small beach in the cove.
