I have too much respect for him to call him bitter. Plus even if he was, he has the right to be. He’s just brutally honest, something I can respect even if I don’t always agree.
Aww, I really enjoyed this clip. Bret's not known to publicly laugh and giggle as much but he did on this clip telling those funny stories that I enjoyed hearing. I saw him shine on this clip as never before, Bret's awesome. 🙂
It is so refreshing to hear an interview that isn’t dedicated to the same backstage drama that *every* shoot interview is obsessed with. They’ve been done to death. Thank you for this, I really enjoyed hearing Bret talk about his amateur career. Good stuff.
The greatest professional wrestler of all-time. Period. I can watch every single match of his and learn something, all while never losing focus and enjoying the athletic and entertaining contest.
Bret Hart, every time you tell stories about wrestling; I feel your heart glows. Keep telling wrestling stories, you are a legend that has influenced many new technical wrestlers trying to you. Be proud and keep talking about your career. Never forget jealous haters will ALWAYS hate. You are the man.
Listening to Bret Hart talk is like listening to a wise sage, an elder with infinite amounts of wisdom. I'm in awe as he speaks. So much feeling in every word.
Really enjoyed this. Bret's my favorite wrestler and I actually met the guy when he came down to New York a few years ago. A very nice man and he had the biggest hands. It just wrapped around mine and I'm not a tiny fella myself. A tremendous athlete and one of the greats. Thanks for sharing!
My tears comes down, when i see one of greatest wrestler in the world getting very old ..... really i feel life is so short and makes me also getting old ....... see how great young strong wrestler how became now ....... really life is so short .
Your a good man Bret, you can hear it in your voice. You were always my favorite growing up. Your a lot like my father, hard working, loyal, you take pride in what you do and love your family so much. I lost my younger brother too. Life is tuff, but you have to make the best of it. I’d like to meet you one day. Hopefully at one of your events in the future. I hope you’re doing well and God bless you and your family Hitman 😎
i love how Passionate he is about telling stories and how he can like go back and just visualize and Tell us the story I have the same visual memory and I think it’s awesome awesome
Bret's lucky, when I wrestled amateur they had different rules when you had to wrestle a "blind" person which gave a big advantage to the blind since they were used to that style. Good stories from him!
Bret Hart s a nice guy always love hearing his interviews. Even after the screw job Vince never broke bret .the hit man just evolved and entertained us for at least 2 more years before he had a career ending injury vs Goldberg
Agreed. TRULY best worker EVER. All around. If you put 7-8 criteria together for the perfect Wrestler/Entertainer, he's really the best. Glad to see him laughing & I can really tell he loves telling storys.
I could never click dislike when it comes to listening to one of the greatest that has ever done it. Love listening to anything Bret Hart has to say. Great Video.
Good Interview. Thank You, Bret was the Best (Was, Is, Ever will be) Great storyteller, always appreciated his fans and loved him as the hated heel in America but loved everywhere else.
Dude u speak the real truth, Austin/Vince was entertaining but dnt.provide match quality. The matches W ROCK were excellent BC Heat, TV SLINE, & In Ring work was great but WM15,17,19 were no technical masterpieces. Nor should they had been. HULK,SAVAGE, CACTUS,ANGLE,BENOIT, JERICHO,HHH,EDDY,TAKER, & some other guys had just great matches/MOMENTS after BRET left in 1997... But I think in the WWF TERRITORY, when BRET left I believe in a subtle way, HVY belt LOST some credibility mostly to casual fans, pissed off insiders and the boys themselves felt the WWF was EVER the same orthere was just a missing component in the company. I don't think WWE product as a complete, special era for the company as a whole ALL AROUND WAS AT ITS BEST TOP2BOTTOM FROM ALL ROUND while he was there . Approximately 1984 ish to 1997 $ monetarily, stars elevated BC of Bret's rub, Bret's the voiceless workrate/match s.telling and BIGGEST Thing: BRET HITMAN HART comes across as REAL. HIS GENUINES IN PROMOS, FACIALS, SELLING ADDS TO THE CREDIBILITY MAKE HIM THIS ALMOST, REAL CHAMPION LEDGENDARY WRESTLER. IF HE HAD STAYED IN WWE, CONTINUING W SCSA TO MANIA & PASSING TORCH@ 14... Then maybe picked up w DX, WARRIOR, & ELEVting the ANGLES,EDDYS ,BENOITS, JERICHO, LESNAR MAYBE... He'd have gone down.. (Insert tagline! THE BEST!
bret you are a beautiful man, you have been through more than anyone in wrestling and you always handled it like a man in ways most be could never be able to do. you are the definition of the best.
Agreed. TRULY best worker EVER. All around. If you put 7-8 criteria together for the perfect Wrestler/Entertainer, he's really the best. Glad to see him laughing & I can really tell he loves telling storys, Brets Genuine's in dealing w people, interviewers, fans, even in his promos you could see it come across... THANK GOD ABOVE I didn't discover wrestling as a kid in the 2000s.. TY.HITMAN. BEST WISHES. YOUR INSPIRATIONAL. GOD BLESS, DUPONT
Bret's run in 1997 is of legend. Superb work on the stick and untouchable in the ring. I would of much preferred to have seen Bret pass the tourch to Stone Cold at wm14 instead of shawn but hey that's 20 years ago. Bret is a living legend.
In his defense, he really tried to pass the torch to SC. Watch their match at Survivor Series '96. They put it together at the Dungeon to showcase Austin as a technical brawler that was Bret's equal and pulled it off beautifully in the ring.
Wow, who could believe this man was one of greatest wrestler in the history ..... now he is very old .... see how life is short . time is running so fast, you are now in 20 just a matter of days you become in 60 .
God dam his hands and wrists are buggered. You can really see it in his right hand at 22:28 if you pause it and look. Holy fawk man. Is that the wrist he had pins in?
The host is good, at the outro he keep eye contact with Bret Hart occasionally while also addressing the audience which almost nobody of hosts do and I think it is a major mistake.
If any of the bad blood happened and the health issue and bret had a few more years left in wwe before retiring i would of loved seeing bret hart vs undertaker at wrestlemania.
OK I was smoking a bowl of primo started to listen to Bret , thought I heard all of his stories next thing I know Bret tells some great stories obout his youth, now I want to see him and dynamite fight.#HighAsFuck
Idc what anybody says. I'm a hillbilly plumber. No class and all sass. I just want to say Bret the Hitman Hart was the coolest persona in the history of Wrestling Entertainment.
JoeGamer81 It depends. Howard Finkle announced him as Bret “Hitman” Hart. Mike McGuirk announced him as Bret “The Hitman” Hart. Also, fwiw, Bret seemed to be more fond of McGuirk based on stories of hanging out with her a lot in his book.
Bret is always selling the story of pro wrestling....it may not be true...but he's selling it....Bret knows that to entertain the masses they don't need the truth they need the fiction...Bret's strongest suitis his storytelling....Bret hart the man ,Bret Hart the legend...
Marco Z That’s debatable. He dealt with Montreal, which left a real scar on him that few can understand. Then he had his career forcibly taken from him by someone else’s carelessness leading to grace injuries (three major concussions, and damage to his neck). Then in a short amount of time he lost his brother, brother-in-law (and close friend), mother, and father. In the middle of all that he suffered a major, debilitating, stroke. Yeah, there’s a lot in there that most wont ever experience.
Marco Z Go back and watch his HOF speech. He specifically said that he didn't want anyone to mourn his career and immediately dedicated his whole speech to stories about Owen and his dad.
He was just getting over being sick but didn't want to cancel. This story was an add-on to several Ed Whalen stories he shared for another project we are working on that he was stoked to be a part of.
Professional wraaaaastling is finished. No fun anymore. Bunch of pc bullshit. Bra and panties matches didn't do me any harm when I was younger and I just recently got out of jail.
He’s the best interview I swear and yet people call him bitter, the guy’s just honest
I have too much respect for him to call him bitter. Plus even if he was, he has the right to be. He’s just brutally honest, something I can respect even if I don’t always agree.
His head often goes to unhappy thoughts, he's just honestly expressing them
Aww, I really enjoyed this clip.
Good stuff.
In his own words, "Everyone's heard those before, let's tell a new one." True class act and he changed the way I interview public figures.
The greatest professional wrestler of all-time. Period. I can watch every single match of his and learn something, all while never losing focus and enjoying the athletic and entertaining contest.

Alex J thanks for sharing your experience
Alex J I met Bret Hart in 2010 he signed my book and he was a nice guy and enjoyed watching his matches back in the day
My tears comes down, when i see one of greatest wrestler in the world getting very old ..... really i feel life is so short and makes me also getting old ....... see how great young strong wrestler how became now ....... really life is so short .
At age 98 he'd still waste both of us

Jeff Schultz such a great comment 👍. I wish for him the same
what a nice message :-)
Bret knows how to tell a story. Gripped the whole time
i love how Passionate he is about telling stories and how he can like go back and just visualize and Tell us the story I have the same visual memory and I think it’s awesome awesome
This was my favorite Bret Hart interview ever! 10 out 10! Thank you so much!
Bret's lucky, when I wrestled amateur they had different rules when you had to wrestle a "blind" person which gave a big advantage to the blind since they were used to that style. Good stories from him!
THE HANNIBAL TV Loving some of your recent interviews you’ve posted especially Tony Atlas and Shane Douglas keep up the good work!
Thanks!

thank you and gratz to the interviewer for listening to him....it's rare that interviewers don't talk all the time
Good Interview. Thank You, Bret was the Best (Was, Is, Ever will be) Great storyteller, always appreciated his fans and loved him as the hated heel in America but loved everywhere else.
Icicles story was hilarious. Thanks for capturing this interview and side of Bret. Great job.
My childhood hero. My inspiration. ❤
Bret keeps surprising me with cool, interesting wrestling stories. GOAT
I love Brett. What a great guy, and role model to look up to. He's the best there is, was, and ever will be!
Wrestling pretty much died the day Bret left WWF
Actually ZBR Very true. People says : "I love the Attitude era!" To me, it was the beginning of the end.
Lmao... Sure it did
I spoke with a good friend of mine and agreed that if one wrestler could never age and could watch wrestle forever it would be the Hitman 👍

This was awesome.
i could listen to bret's stories all day
0:30 - Wow, big suplex on Abdullah the Butcher by Hart.
Wearing a single cowboy boot no less.
lol
I love seeing u happy bret
Savage and Bret were always my favourite as a kid! Great interview!
Wow this was great. Could listen to another hour of Bret talking it up. Never heard those stories.
You never see Bret up beat like he is in this interview. You can tell he loved his childhood.
Bret's brain is like a library. This goat remembers a lot of stuff and what people say exactly all these years ago.
My favorite wrestler.
its so cute how hes starting to have a little bit of stu in his looks now, hes so cute with his little belly i love bret he is still so damn adorable
The excellence of execution is the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be.

Bret's a great storyteller. Loved the old stories.
True legend Bret Hart the best there is the best there was and the best there ever will be. Always enjoy Bret’s story’s.
He'd be a great narrator too.

Great old time Calgary stories Bret.
You will be always in our heart💕🌷🌱💕🌷💕🌱🌷💕🌱🌷💕 we are from Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia "KSA" 🌱🌷💕
I enjoyed that. Bret is a good story teller.
You could ask Bret what he had for breakfast and he'd spend 7 minutes explaining it to you
Great interview
Bret is awesome!
Great stories...
Brett is in my top first place with hacksaw. They both knew how to make the people love them.
You will always be my hero Bret ❤
Bret looks and sounds great in this video. I'm ecstatic.
Wrestlers make some of the best story tellers
Great guy !

Best wrestler ever!!! Also was my favorite character in WWF Wrestlemania - Sega Genesis
Bret Hart My All Time Wrestler With The Dynamite Kid A Closet 2nd

Wow, who could believe this man was one of greatest wrestler in the history ..... now he is very old .... see how life is short . time is running so fast, you are now in 20 just a matter of days you become in 60 .
Man I'd love to meet him
There's times in this interview where he's starting to sound like his old man, You can really hear that Stu growl at times
GREAT STORY NOT FORGOTTEN WITH BRET HITMAN HART !!!
God dam his hands and wrists are buggered. You can really see it in his right hand at 22:28 if you pause it and look. Holy fawk man. Is that the wrist he had pins in?
Bret Hart is the man
Bret seems like nice and genuine guy. Nasty Boys and Jake the snake were my favourite s but Bret was great and seems nice guy in real life
Brets a real good brother
Hs's real, no bitterness detected ✅
Bret is looking more like his dad as time goes on
i was just about to write that its so cute
Swear if BH had dark hair he'd look 45 again. I love The Hitman. 💕💕
The host is good, at the outro he keep eye contact with Bret Hart occasionally while also addressing the audience which almost nobody of hosts do and I think it is a major mistake.
Great Work Liam 💪👍
Bert is cool
Ernie is cooler
If any of the bad blood happened and the health issue and bret had a few more years left in wwe before retiring i would of loved seeing bret hart vs undertaker at wrestlemania.
OK I was smoking a bowl of primo started to listen to Bret , thought I heard all of his stories next thing I know Bret tells some great stories obout his youth, now I want to see him and dynamite fight.#HighAsFuck

bret 💙 rocks and that's bottom line
Idc what anybody says. I'm a hillbilly plumber. No class and all sass. I just want to say Bret the Hitman Hart was the coolest persona in the history of Wrestling Entertainment.
This is probably a minor nitpick, because people do call him "The Hitman," but he was always, every show, billed as Bret "Hitman" Hart.
The god of man.
0:30 I had no idea Bret wrestled Abby
bret you should color your hair dark you will
look bit handsome and younger.
Bret is always selling the story of pro wrestling....it may not be true...but he's selling it....Bret knows that to entertain the masses they don't need the truth they need the fiction...Bret's strongest suitis his storytelling....Bret hart the man ,Bret Hart the legend...
Bret was my favorite wrestler when I was a child. When Shawn Michael defeated him and not the wwf champion anymore I stopped watching wrestling
More BRET HART
Wish Bret would dye his hair
Google need to stop lying saying that Bret hart is dead
God Brett looks older than hogan or the iron sheik sad to see a physical specimen turn in2 a empty shell he seems happy here which is good
Didnt realize he wrestled Bob Backlund as an amateur.
Bob Eklund
Bret Russian Crimea LOVE YOU !!!! Alushta LOVE YOU !!!
It's funny I hated him in the hart foundation but loved him around the time he got screwed by Vince
Bret Hart looks cool with white hair
Holy shit he got old!
i dont understand why he doesnt colour his hair, white hair makes him look so old
he is 61
Because he doesn't want to or need to
It's because he is a man
some people are just authentic enough to let it be, no vanity or anything like that.
Years have caught up to Bret sadly. Still carrying alot of burden. Wish he would just relax now and forget about it all.
Marco Z he will take most of it to his grave unfortunately,in fairness to him though he has had a tough life in a lot of ways
Not anymore than most people experience in a life
Marco Z That’s debatable.
I completely disagree. He's way more broken up about how his fake career ended than any of that other stuff.
Marco Z Go back and watch his HOF speech. He specifically said that he didn't want anyone to mourn his career and immediately dedicated his whole speech to stories about Owen and his dad.
Bret doesn't look too well in this interview.
He was just getting over being sick but didn't want to cancel. This story was an add-on to several Ed Whalen stories he shared for another project we are working on that he was stoked to be a part of.
yes he does he looks beautiful
Wow, he got OLD =(
Bret Hart - always loved to talk about his biggest fan... HIMSELF!
Professional wraaaaastling is finished. No fun anymore. Bunch of pc bullshit. Bra and panties matches didn't do me any harm when I was younger and I just recently got out of jail.
Bret is the most interesting and boring storyteller in wrestling
