What's the trick to separate the coupling and push the shaft to the aft? I'm doing this in the water. Loosened shaft packing, but having issue seperating the coupling to get to your first picture in your video... the actual separation. Appreciate any advice... thank you!

Thank you! Got har started moving. Used a couple of putty knives to get things going. Only about 1/4" apart right now. Will continue to turn and wedge/pry.

Thank you so much for this! 2 questions if I may.Did you do this while in the water? Were you noticing oil (atf) in the bilge?
Thanks in advance. Also guessing your in NE like me😏

Nice video! Would you happen to know where I can get a seal? 3.5 OD 2.5 ID I've been searching everywhere. The seal in the seal kit I ordered is just too small.

Transatlantic Diesel in Hayes, VA has the seals. They sent me the wrong one first, then the right one.

Are the threads on the flange nut left-handed? Seems like you tightening the wrong way.
    Thanks

We’re the threads standard or reverse. Left or right

I wanted to see the process of detaching and then attaching again the shaft from the trani, it does not compute for me :-(

Would have been good to see the old seal removal, and the new one inserted, otherwise very informative
