    Lyrics:
    I'm a man on fire
    Walking through your street
    With one guitar
    And two dancing feet
    Only one desire
    That's left in me
I want the whole damn world
    To come dance with me
    (ohhhhhhhh. Come dance with me)
    I'm a hunter at bay
    Come and set you free
    Over heartache and shame
I wanna see our bodies burning like the old big sun
I wanna know what we've been learning and learning from
    Everybody want safety (safety love)
    Everybody want comfort (comfort love)
    Everybody want certain (certain love)
    Everybody but me
    I'm a man on fire
    Walking down your street
    With one guitar
    And two dancing feet
    Only one desire
    That's left in me
I want the whole damn world
To come and dance with me
    (bah bah bah bah bah...)
Yay, yay. Come dance with me
    Over heartache and rage
    Come set us free
    Over panic and strange
I wanna see our bodies burning like the old big sun
I wanna know what we've been learning and learning from
    Everybody want romance (romance love)
    Everybody want safety (safety love)
    Everybody want comfort (comfort love)
    Everybody but me
I'm a man on fire (he's a man on fire)
Walking down your street (walking down your street)
With one guitar (With one guitar)
And two dancing feet (two dancing feet)
    Only one desire (one desire)
That's still in me (that's left in me)
I want the whole damn world (I want the whole damn world)

I want to share this with all you beautiful people, this song was played at my dads funeral over 11 years ago now, the last year or so of his life before his tragic passing he started to listen to Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros and this quickly became one of his favorite songs, so we played it at his funeral, Rest In Peace Dad, I love and miss you 🕊 ❤️

August 2016. The venerable Cologne Philharmonic Hall. Sold out. People were seated. Alex and band (Jade was then no longer part of them) entered stage. Opened concert with „Somewhere“. Friendly applause. Next song, „Man on Fire“. While the song was being played Alex left stage, entered auditorium and started dancing. And the crowd joined, stood up, started dancing as well in their seat rows, handclapping, humming, singing along for the entire duration of the show. I believe nobody sat down again for the next two hours or so. It seemed as if the entire audience was on drugs, the drug being nothing else than the music. Alex was totally stunned, he had not expected such a reaction from a German audience. If there hadn‘t been a curfew they would have played until everybody was tired. Thank you Alex and bandmates for the best concert of my life, and for two almost as intense concert experiences in previous gigs I was lucky to attend.

I am in isolation with Covid19, and here in Brazil we are having a hard time with the government that abandoned us. My depression has returned and I am feeling very bad. But when I saw this video, this song that sounds like the voices of my life talking to me, I was happy. I remembered my girlfriend who I love more than anything, she helps me a lot in my life, just like this song did.

Rebel Wisdom brought me here. Never heard this song before, and I hear it the day after my baby daughter is born. With my wife and baby daughter in hospital, I am sitting here with my dog beside me. And this song...this song, the range of emotions it emits from you. And yes like other comments, bug burly me has been bought to tears many times after playing it over and over. A truly well made beautiful song. Thank you.

Lately it's been so rare how a song and video come together so beautifully. The images of the parents actually brought back fond memories of watching my son in gymnastics when he was young. Such a simple yet moving video. Thank you.

Awww god, this makes me melt into a pool of warmth and happiness; I'm in love with this song, Alex Ebert's voice is gorgeous; I love it when the joyful voice of that woman comes in,,,big, big smiles :)
I watched 'Alive Inside' and just cried so much; I felt deeply connected to my species again. It is so sad to see how alone some are but seeing those elders come alive, out of the fog of Alzheimer's was amazing,
Samite Mulondo's voice is so soft and gentle, such a sweet man; his work is priceless.
    Thank you dearly MagicZeros

Ok. So I lived in Maple Ridge 18 years ago. It honestly feels like 5 years ago. I worked at a Timber Mart. I was a cashier.
The lead singer walked in and was purchasing nails. He said he was building a house. I looked at
    my fellow cashier's..
    No bloody clue.
Maybe it's just that perfect that this group remains a hidden gem. I played this C.D at a little coffee shop in Ontario where we could bring in our likes of music. It was the first job I got when I returned home.
No one who I worked with knew these guys. At the end of the week... Not only did my fellow workers really like this C.D..so did the customers.
I don't work there any longer. But that was a great memory.
    Happy 🇨🇦day Stabilo

    I'm a man on fire
    Walking through your street
    With one guitar
    And two dancing feet
    Only one desire
    That’s left in me
I want the whole damn world
    To come dance with me
    (ohhhhhhhh. Come dance with me)
    I’m a hunter at bay
    Come and set you free
    Over heartache and shame
I wanna see our bodies burning like the old big sun
I wanna know what we’ve been learning and learning from
    Everybody want safety (safety love)
    Everybody want comfort (comfort love)
    Everybody want certain (certain love)
    Everybody but me
    I’m a man on fire
    Walking down your street
    With one guitar
    And two dancing feet
    Only one desire
    That’s left in me
I want the whole damn world
To come and dance with me
    (bah bah bah bah bah…)
Yay, yay. Come dance with me
    Over heartache and rage
    Come set us free
    Over panic and strange
I wanna see our bodies burning like the old big sun
I wanna know what we’ve been learning and learning from
    Everybody want romance (romance love)
    Everybody want safety (safety love)
    Everybody want comfort (comfort love)
    Everybody but me
I’m a man on fire (he’s a man on fire)
Walking down your street (walking down your street)
With one guitar (With one guitar)

When I was little, my dad showed this music video to my little sister and I. I was immediately in love. After he came home from work at night I'd ask him to put this on. Those were good memories. I forgot about this song as I got older, and then, suddenly, one day it ended up in my recommendations. It was like a brick wall of nostalgia and emotion had hit me. I watched it and I cried.
