Hey Ron Lipton, one of my true boxing heros. I was shocked to learn Frankie DePaula knocked down Dick Tiger. Like my jaw dropped, and that was after he beat my hero Rubin Hurricane Carter. Truly Shocking. I’ma go tell people about Frankie DePaula now.
I remember well. I was 10 years old and lived on Lexington Ave and me and a friend when we heard about it, we ran the four blocks over to Harrison Ave to see the crime scene. we saw the blood on the sidewalk. yup. just like it was yesterday.
Another great boxing documentary by Bobby Cassidy.
Thank you Jimmy, hope all is well
I’d always hear stories about Frankie and read the book Jersey Boy about him. Great video
Thank you Gus
Well done Bobby Cassidy, great footage and interviews.
thank you for your help on this Ron
@@throwbackmediasports The honor was all mine.

Wondering when the Tiger v Depaula footage will surface ?
Yeah ... a lot of people looking for that. Very strange there is no footage
@@throwbackmediasports I believe they have it Archived ( Espn ) or somebody has it.. Ron Lipton will know 👍
M.I.A.
Rumors are they
"could have been recorded over by espn" somehow🥸
Great video:)
Thank you
Did Frankie ever fight at Sunnyside Garden ?
Yes he did .. He fought there once as a pro and it's likely he fought there in the Golden Gloves as well
