As an ex Auckland Council employee working in the incident management area before, I can tell you smoky fire is one of the main sources of complaints by the local residents...and yes, many from the hangi activities esp. in the area where lots of Pacific Islanders live like Glen Innes.
Some of you totally missed the point. Firstly this is a resident to be used to run a business. The home owner said this is only a trial gathering with a small group this time and the plan is have large group of 100 people to the BBQ parties.
Now that they have exposed themselves on TH-cam I wonder if they could go ahead with their plan. They say they want to fit in the kiwi culture but they don't seem to have been doing much work to know this country. I wonder if they know NZ tax residents are taxed on worldwide income so potentially the income from their businesses in HK are subject to NZ income tax - which will hopefully be spent back on the people as they say🤣
This is exactly what I was thinking about! Tax and complain from neighbourhood on noise and smell. It is a good idea but running a commercial food and beverage business at home? Running a small mail-order business is more practical and acceptable.

其實就是BBQ燒烤。煤氣燒的沒那麼香，木炭 1火燒烤的更香滴。我家也喜歡這種原汁原味，曾經用浴盆加鐵板改造的燒烤爐，等於鐵板燒，用原生的木材燒燼後的炭火，來烤羊腿，真是妙不可言。😅😊
香港也許生活上方便些，日常生活用品也許便宜些，但在香港很難住到想新西蘭的房子吧。在香港，工作生活都是為了賺錢；而新西蘭工作賺錢是為了生活。

系屋企做这种生意注定没好结果1卫生，你要知道如果有人因为吃了你的食物出问题你又没买保险自己全部上身2邻居，你的烟雾会影响你的邻居，先不要说味道受不受得了吃素更不用说3防火，你明火烤野失火的话自己想4安全，你的客人在你家受了伤你赔得起吗5保险，以你家这种情况去买商业保险根本不可能。。。其他先不说，你要想做这个可以去郊外找个小农场把各种证件特别是保险搞定
