    My hunting buddies laughed at me when I came out with my Mossberg 6.5 Creedmoor (for $349 w/Vortex scope) 3 years ago...6 deer and 3 years later, they all want one...LOL...

      Same lol. I got the patriot LR hunter in 6.5prc with leupold VX freedom 3-9x40. It's a impressive rifle for the money.

      In all honesty I feel like a lot of times you pay for the name look how much a weatherby costs vs this not everyone has a few grand to spend on a deer rifle mossberg makes good stuff

      @@resolutionoutdoors9248 I definitely agree. My wife's first time hunting and first time shooting a gun last year, and she dropped a huge management doe with that $349/ scope combo Mossberg. lol

    "Farther than I think I am capable of shooting...". You don't seem to hear too many people saying that today, most I hear are saying, " I'm good to 600-800 yds". It is refreshing to hear someone who realizes limitations and stays within them. Good for you!! 👍👍👍👍👍

    I hunted this last season with my Mossberg MVP Long Range 308 Thunder Ranch. And did not have this kind of luck. Maybe I should try my Mossberg Patriot .308 Win.
    Dang it, now I want some tenderloin medallions seared with sliced onions and mushrooms and a bit of vegetable oil. And drying some jerky.

    Be more confident .... Nothing should be passed up due to distance . Practice and practice more and be confident sink the shot . 300 yards was a great shoot clean . Now you know you can do it again and further next time . Great video

    I lived in Genesee Co. for a few years around the turn of the century. There's good places to hunt there, and in Wyoming Co. as well. Definitely different than my original stomping grounds, on the North Olympic Peninsula.

    I would still wear hunter orange during firearm season, I’m not knocking anybody just my preference because I don’t trust other people sneaking on the private land, I used to live in New York State and hunt near Binghamton on my granddad‘s farm, even though it was fully posted we would still get people coming on the farm every year we would get some real idiots coming up from New York City area.

    So a lot of comments on your camo, i wish I had a nice set like that. I think some people are jealous. Some people splurge on Harley Davidson motorcycles. Or 400,000. Motor homes. Or what ever. Don't let them rib you to bad.

    What grain are you shooting I’m using the Winchester 125 deer hunter XP’s. But I’m thinking that the 130 grain is a better choice as far as availability for our caliber.. I’d like to find the guy who decided to start an argument that budget rifles aren’t worth the material they use up. I have a an Savage Axis 6.5 creedmoor love the thing 95grain for yotes as well.. be well!

    • @rossroberge7507
      @rossroberge7507 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was shooting 130gr Sig Elite hunters. Of all (I forget how many we tried) the factory rounds we tested in our guns they shot the best out of my rifle. I had 3 or 4 different factory loads that shot well (1 MOA or better) out of my patriot and the other loads weren't really all that bad (all around 1.5 MOA, and honestly those shots could have been shooter error...). To your point about fellas arguing about budget rifles... It's the internet, if there wasn't someone starting drama, we'd have no reason to be here. I love my patriot predator, its a great gun and it clearly kills deer. I'm doing a load work up for it this winter with some heavier projectiles, and will be pushing it further next fall ;). Thanks for watching!

      The difference is that you might come closer to a deer at 300 yards with a Mossberg by throwing the rifle as opposed to shooting it.

  • @wesleygonzalez5275
    @wesleygonzalez5275 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    The mossberg patriot is one of the worst performing guns ive ever had the displeasure to witness. Mossberg doesn't have ANY accuracy warranty and the average MOA ive seen on the is 3 plus and almost everyone ive seen sell out of my store has been brought back becasue of said accuracy issues. They will replace your barrel with another usless barrel 😅in this regard you most definitely gwt what you pay for.
