I would say I like the retail version of the Doctor because its more accurate definitely with the colour of the coat and trousers still both sets are nice just with vortex edition i thought the trousers was just too bright and the coat was too dark
It cost me £64 to import that Vortex edition set, which was absolutely insane and not something I’ll do again as nice as they are. Meanwhile even buying them individually off of Amazon UK these should only be £50 which is still astronomical but at least doable. I think I agree that this costume looks better in general and the pants are a definite improvement. My Vortex 15 doesn’t seem to have any wash on his pants at all. My only issue with this is the lack of articulation to do the splits. It feels like such a bizarre thing to drop for these supposedly super articulated advanced figures.
Wicked review! I got the online exclusive versions, I wasn't quite sure on the retail ones since they're essentially repaints. But they seem lovely none the less!
Great Review Matt, I think you have me sold! out of the four I prefer this one over the orange top and I think I prefer the CO Ruby but I’ll be interested in hearing that review soon!
I'm disappointed at how short this figure is, especially as it's a completely new sculpt. Ncuti is 5' 10" (according to imdb), while Millie is only 5' 2". He should tower over Ruby, but both of these new figures are about the same height as the 13th Doctor figure (Jodie is 5' 5", so they aren't to scale with her either).
While i prefer the Vortex Edition's colours this is a very, very strong release from Character! They've put a lot of love into these new figures and this one is no different. Idk where to get him in the Netherlands but if i see him i'm getting him.
Utter pieces of crap. I cannot believe that Dewar and Character have bragged about these figures as "Gen 3" when they've removed as fundamental a point of articulation as the lateral hip movement... a point of articulation that the figures have had since 2006 (with the exception of the 3.75" figures, and we know how THAT went). "What use is the Doctor?" Well, not much bloody use at all, with these p!ss poor, 1999 - era levels of articulation. THREE swivels in the leg is no advancement whatsoever, when you're left with a figure that's got less functional and practical artic for dynamic posability/playability than figures produced in the same line almost TWENTY YEARS AGO. This is the inevitable result of not complaining and accepting diminishing standards for increasing prices. Shoddy, declining merch in support of a shoddy, declining franchise, and Character and the BBC will continue to rip you off before laughing all the way to the bank.
1 Corinthians 1:21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. Come to Christ
@@craigcharlesworth1538 1 Corinthians 1:18 For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
Hoping to grab the retail versions soon and keep them mint on card. Gotta support these figures as much as possible
I think he wears the same trousers in both stories, but the colour on these is much more accurate!
He doesn’t, they’re both different.
I'm still in awe. I literally still can't get over how good the detail is on this figure! It's so spot to ncuti gatwa! Great review!
Does it come with a pump mechanism to make tears come out of his eyes 😂

There are already two figures of the 15th Doctor before GTA 6

Great review, I've got both the retail versions on pre-order from a friend's comic shop.
I'll be picking this up as soon as I find it on shelves. Love the outfit!
Great review love your videos definitely getting the retail one for sure 😊
With a cheaper version on the market, how soon before we get customs with clear varnish tears trickling down his face?
Do we know who’s stocking these figures? I definitely prefer this (and the Ruby figure) to the online one. Look forward to getting this.
Argos is a good bet, they've got both the Recent sonics and originally got the non B&M 13th Doctor figures. Also Amazon.
One nit pick... the zip on the shirt isn't painted on this version. Strange, looks a bit odd. Easy fix though.

I noticed that: put him on display with all the other Doctors and he's tiny!

Can you do your action figure adventures again or react to your old videos
He should definitley do some for the Review of Death
Christ a figure in 2024 to be this poorly articulated is this diamond select 😂
