For anyone who doesn't know Portuguese, the Brazilian ad is remarking that it doesn't matter where you are from and which is your ethnic group, because the glory is for everyone equally when it comes to defending the country, the only thing you need is guts and will to defend your nation, the History behind it, and the diversity that made Brazil strong! It works THOUSAND times better than the American ad. Greeting from Argentina to our Brazilian neigbours. Edit in Spanish: Que carajo bolud0 JAJAJAJAJA tengo casi 3000 likes, no esperaba que esté comentario cause tanto debate XD
It was definitely better. But Brazil from the start was diverse. America has problems with discrimination and racism. What they really should say is “it doesn’t matter who you are, you just have to be a brave fighter and willing to give it your all.” You don’t need to give every soldier a backstory. And feel free to show a black soldier or a gay soldier or a transgender soldier. But don’t talk about their past because as the Russian ad said. That doesn’t matter, it’s about your willingness to give it your all.
Brazil actually shows women's strenght. But doesn't forces it. It shows a woman in the same place as a man, drinking on the same bottle, shooting with the same gun, and dressing the same clothes. That is the true equality.
@@matthewli9729 Nah, of course they don't. I'm from Brazil and our president don't care even about his own people, he really don't give a fuck about gender equality. The turkish one doesnt really count as a official military advertisement. İts actually a cellular data service(Turkcell) advertisement, trying to market itself by showing the cravings of soldiers whom haven't talked to their families face to face to their families for a long time

@@drumsmoker731 hopefully the world does similar sanctions. Russia since the time of the Tsar has strived for self sufficiency and that's how they lasted the Cold War, they produced almost all their raw resources and all of their own manufactured goods. China meanwhile has relied heavily on trade, foreign aid, and foreign investment since the same time period. China had horribly inefficient manufacturing during the early modern period and relied quite a bit on tributes to keep their economy afloat in addition to trade, then after the industrial revolution they lagged far behind and relied heavily on the pittance of trading they could do, then during WW2 and the cold war they relied almost entirely on foreign aid. Mao covered it up but he recieved tons of Soviet aid and the sino soviet split (and the time preceding it) the Chinese played an extortion game telling the Soviets they'd open up to the west if the Soviets didnt give them more tech and more investment and they did this until the Soviets went bankrupt and after that they played a similar game with the americans, soliciting aid in return for "opening up" and leaving the Soviets. After the cold war theyve relied heavily on foreign aid and trade with the west and their economy today is a house of cards, while the west can use Africa, south/central America, eastern Europe, india, or other parts of asia for cheap manufacturing China has no alternatives besides America and the EU to buy much of their goods. To make matters worse for China they rely heavily on stolen IP to advance their technology and boost their economy and they cant steal tech without their current model of hosting foreign manufacturing. Sanctions in China will hurt everyone but while the West relies heavily on cheap Chinese manufacturing China NEEDS foreign investment, foreign technology, and western trade. Without it they'll go back to Maoist times of scarcity and low income.

Still much more convincing. Evryone wants to protect their family and make them proud. The American one about wanting to be a role model felt shallow. Fun fact about the Snake smoking logo (Brazilian part)
Many Brazilians doubted that Brazil would ever fight in another war, it was said that it was easier for a snake to smoke than for Brazil to enter the war. When Brazilian troops were sent to Italy to fight in WW2, the snake smoked. And the expression “the snake will smoke” entered entered the Brazilian vocabulary as a mocking way of saying that the unexpected happened.
