Seeing that this was her first performance after a near-death experience from an overdose, singing/reliving that extremely dark moment in her life, as well as it being the literal Grammy's live. It would be a raw, emotional moment for her. So props to her for freely showing her emotions but keeping them enough at bay to sing/perform through it.
@@sandranejman I saw this when she did it live and I was just a mess...I don't think there's one person who can't relate to this emotion and people might want to criticize her for stuff ...which we all make mistakes...but the story behind this and ....it's still hard to listen too but the most relatable moment and song I have never seen
She wrote this 4 days before her overdose in 2018. This was her first performance after the overdose, so it was very emotional for her. She took that year in a half away from the public to focus on herself and her music and it was the best thing for her. Her voice is better than ever, and this album is truly beautiful.
The fact that she needed to restart and did so successfully without affecting the rest of her performance really did make my respect for her as a performer shoot up. I already had a lot of respect for her as a person and as a musician and singer, but her recovery was super impressive. I'm a music major right now, so a big part of my degree is performing in small and large groups, as well as performing solos, and I know exactly how horrible trying to recover from something like that can be even in front of a small group.
@@eleanorlanpher34 i know! Now their pronounce is they but I wrote this comment before they comed out as non-binary but I'm sorry if i defended you by calling them she
It is. She mentioned in many interviews that she didn't want a refined studio version of this song because she wanted the emotion to be authentic at the time she first recorded it. We lovatics all know, she's a perfectionist in the studio, so that was new for her. Kuddos to her ❤️🙌🏾
I ended up here because I never thought someone didn't actually see her performance of Anyone. Edit: The Grammy blocks any content that people upload from the award show that's why people changed the focus of the camera.
Apologies if someone already mentioned this but she recorded this song in the studio just a few days before her near-fatal overdose - talk about a cry for help... 😢
To even be able to sing at all once she started crying is amazing. BUT to sing LIKE THAT?!? She's incredible. It's hard for me to even speak once I've started crying, and she's belting her heart out!!!
Oh man, this still gives me goosebumps! Such raw and vulnerable emotion, it almost feels intrusive to watch but she knocked it out of the park! Sidenote: I totally laughed at the "Wrong button" part of the video 😂😂😂
She wrote this before the overdose and this was her first time performing it lave afterwards and she said she got chocked up because she realized it was like she wrote it after because that's how she felt in that hospital bed
El video de esta presentación Demi la subió y en dos semanas tenía como 13 millones de views, solo después lo eliminaron o no se dejaba ver en diferentes países
Thank you for putting this up. I do what you do but in Italy and I'd like to offer advice given to me. Watch the whole video before commenting. Then go back to comment. I used to do it exactly as you do, here....until 80% of my subscribers asked me to switch it up. I did, I got more subscribers and everyone is happy. Of course, do as you please, just keep it in mind. Grazie mille, ragazzo. Auguri!
If you want to see another one of her most powerful performances, please I’m begging you to watch her Stone Cold Billboard performance!! They deleted the video off of their TH-cam but there’s an audio on TH-cam! If you want to watch the video tho ( recommend ) it’s still on their website!!!! www.billboard.com/video/billboard-women-in-music-2015-demi-lovato-performs-stone-cold-6813920
That billboard performance is jaw on the floor …un-fucking-real! The emotion, the delivery, the power, the clarity of her voice. It’s an absolute masterpiece.
Dude, I know this is a reaction and commentary but you have to have stopped the video and rambled at least 10 times in the first minute of the performance... Pare it down to the important points.
Watch Madonna’s BRIT Awards living for love she has a cape on and she gets pulled down the stairs and she gets right back up and she continues that performance amazingly that’s professionalism

This performance made me cry it was so vulnerable i love her. Such a powerful voice
😃🙏🏼
It made me cry to and I never cry while listening to music or watching films so that is saying something about this song

She sang this literally one month after my brother passed from a drug od. It was a very felt emotion for me. I broke down. It’s a powerful song.
That performance is what you call a comeback for sure!! Comeback to life and music.

She is truly one of the best vocalist of our generation! This performance proves it! Once again, awesome picks Jacob, thanks for these reactions🔥🔥🔥

In the original they focus on her but get blocked everywhere... so this one is edited
ahhok!
i feel like the live performance is even better than the studio one

This was her first appearance anywhere after her relapse. That made it so much more powerful. So real, so emotional, so bare and so courageous.
Wow!
@@JacobRestituto actually heard she was hospitalised 2 days after this too….which again makes it extra special & her soul is bare….

I instantly like your content bro and your genuineness is so obvious please keep that ☝
Okay had to subscribe after multiple, awesome Demi reactions.
Her voice is incredible
Legit
She was sooo raw! In the original video you can see her crying through the song
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I'm sure someone has explained it by now, but this video is zoomed in to keep it from getting a copyright strike.
Oh ok!
She is so so Underrated !!!!😓🥺💔
this ia A mastrpiece ! 🙏❤ everything !
She’s very talented
Ugh i this song hits so different every time I hear it
🔥
I can't not cry.
She wrote this before the overdose and this was her first time performing it lave afterwards and she said she got chocked up because she realized it was like she wrote it after because that's how she felt in that hospital bed
She overdosed about 24 hours after recording the studio version of this song. So I'm also guessing why this song is so emotional for her.
This performance😭😭
🔥
She had the original video from the grammys on her TH-cam but it was taken down not sure why. But the original video had 20 million views
They took the official video off TH-cam for some reason so there’s only that cropped version so they don’t block it
Oh wow
She's came so far❤️Demi.
She didn't "Mess up"-her emotion overtook her. That's why she started over. She wrote this song after she overdosed and almost died.
❤️
I just wanna say that you’re so good-looking
OMG!! THE ALBUM IS A TRUE MASTER PIECE!! INSANE!! I HOPE SHE GETS A GRAMMY!
