I only go for the super rare hard to find stuff dvds are a hard sell nowadays you basically have to give them away blu-ray and 4k is what everyone wants
The Goodwills in my area are quite expensive when it comes to media, so I go to garage sales. Today I picked up a sealed copy of Starhunter the Complete Series, always wanted to check it out, Victory at Sea, complete series, the blu-ray of Planet Earth, complete series sealed and the 1976 version of King Kong. In the past I have picked up complete series of old westerns. Edit - I checked out the main video on your channel. Last year I picked up 40 sealed horror movies. I've never heard of any of them, probably low-budget and cheesy, but sometimes those are the best ones.
@@ColonelSternlove DVDs are the best selling media right now, followed by blu and 4k. special labels are putting out fantastic editions of movies and the like. I continue to see more people collecting now and it’s awesome.

This ain’t vinyl… the quality of the picture ain’t retained in any way… I’ve been collecting movies since VHS and whatever tech/format supersedes that movie, it gets replaced because the picture quality and sound are normally leaps and bounds better. Maybe it’s a USA thing. But if you’re watching a DVD with any claim it’s better in any way, it is objectively wrong. But happy you’re happy.
@@ColonelSternlove No my friend, not claiming anything. If fact I know there is much better quality out there. It’s the fact that people are collecting again. And studios are putting out the best quality they can. It’s more expensive, but they seem to sell out fast. It’s the nostalgia, like myself, which brings me to buy horror DVDs and the like. Having them back on physical media is happiness to me. But in terms of sells currently, DVDs are selling more because of how cheap they are compared to the blu-rays and 4k copies. I even collect VHS too. No player, (yet) but it’s still fun to have. I just found Jaws double tape set today. Anyway. Have a great day.

Every DVD has some seller on eBay selling it for $2.00-$3.00. The market is very saturated.
