Good afternoon, beautiful lady Racquel, I always remember that you were the first person's recipe that we used for this dish. It was OUTSTANDINGLY DELICIOUS!! and today, this is no difference. You never fail to succeed in everything that you cooked. ❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏💪💪💯💯🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾
Love it! Tups of sugar😂 I use Jasmin rice..I cook mine in the oven after allowing it to cook a little bit on the stove top. Comes out right everytime. Thanks for always sharing❤
Hi Raquel i just love how your videos are straight to the point and still very easy to follow with great results. Can you do a video on cooking chicken livers? Keep up the good work my dear
That looks so good Racquel.I can only imagine the nice aroma and the great taste of that rice and peas especially with that freshly grated coconut. Thanks for sharing .😁
Parboiled rice is called converted in the States. I think it has more flavor as well as the vitamins from the bran but it’s best to try to find it as Mexican “super arroz” - Uncle Ben’s indestructible version (restaurants love it) cooks up like pencil erasers. Hinode has very good extra long grain brown rice that cooks up tender and almost fluffy- I think I’ll try that when I get some more frozen coconut milk. The things we have to go through to faithfully replicate your delicious, found nowhere else, recipes here- and worth every bit!
I have never not wash my rice before cooking, washing not only remove some of the starch but also dirt, dust, debris and chemicals, so yes I believe it will be more starchy if not wash.
How do you know you hqve enough rice to water? This is why i cant make thiw right nobody says how much rice to water to use..it says how mucj rice but how do i know if i got too much water in the beans??

Hi Ms. Racquel. How do you prepare yr plantains plz? Are they Baked or fried?
Hi deary
They could be baked, but those were fried 😋
What is the name or brand of the Jerk seasoning?
Chief Brand
No sugar.. don't disappoint me
😆
Optional
Will the dish be too starchy if you don't wash the rice? That's how my gramma used to do it

How do you know how much rice to add? So the rice won’t be soggy ? And how much coconut milk do we add ?
