Thanks Julie for your concern 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 By God's grace and good wishes from family and friends like you all the pins and wires are removed. Now physiotherapy will slowly help my wrist become stronger. Thank you once again dear 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Happy New Year! You make it all look so easy! I am really mesmerized by your beautiful work! I love it all and thankful for the time you take to share and teach. I have learned so much. 💕🎉💕
Happy New Year!! What a great video! Love the fish and other thing I can’t spell, lol, so colorful. Everything was beautiful. I was amazed at how easily you cut those out and held them!
Love all of your work! What is the substrate for the sunflowers? Would like to try making one myself! Thank you for all the wonderful education and inspiration 😊
wow, all amazing. I am still trying to understand the mesh method, you are covering the entire mess area where other teachers say to just tack and leave room for the the final coat of thinset to come thru the mesh on installation. I would like to try the mesh method but still not sure how to apply the thinset, maybe it depends on what kind/brand of thinset I use?
You can do it both ways. Because the glass is so thin and this is not going on a curved wall, I have made a the bed sufficient to hold the pieces permanently. One of the biggest challenges with installing stained glass on mesh projects is preventing the thinset from oozing through between the tesserae and clogging up the grout lines. I like to use white thinset to bring out the best color of the glass and this also prevents the grid from showing if the glass is a bit on the translucent side. However, I will be using a gray grout (on the St. Matthew mosaic) and the client is free to choose their grout color to match the rest of their mosaic on the tropical pair here. Another method is to use the same color thinset as your grout (Laticrete makes some that would work.) Then if the thinset comes through it is not noticeable.
Hi! It's a very educational video. I hope you won't mind me asking. Can you please share if the industrial mesh you are using has a certain recommended thickness to it? I bough an industrial mesh in our local store lately and I found it that it's too thin to hold the tesserae. Yet it is marketed as an industrial mesh! :) I can see from your video that your mesh seems thick enough and has a good shape as well. Thank you so much in advance. Happy new year!
Whenever they get dull. The cuts will start to be less accurate and chip the glass. Completely dependent on how much you are using them. Lately I’ve been turning them about every two weeks or so.
Ok, your videos are mesmerizing! Thank you for the continuous tips, they are so helpful.
Glad you like them!

I purchased the mesh through Witsend Mosaic Supply and I am not sure of the thickness.
@@mazzonimosaics8222 Thank you very much.
Happy New year!!! What glue do you use on the mesh ? Thank you!♥️♥️♥️
I'm using Laticrete 254 Platinum thinset on the mesh. Happy New Year to you too!
Julie, how often do you turn the wheels on the nippers and/or replace the wheels?
Whenever they get dull. The cuts will start to be less accurate and chip the glass. Completely dependent on how much you are using them. Lately I’ve been turning them about every two weeks or so.
@@mazzonimosaics8222 Thank you! That's helpful.
