I don’t think Blur is capable of making a truly bad song. The one time they were trying to make a terrible song, they accidentally made one of the coolest, most legendary songs of the entire grunge era. The talent Damon and the gang have is insane.

My favorite band! I saw them in LA at the Palace for the Great Escape tour and Pulp opened up for them! Next album, big hit on KROQ. And I see them at The Palladium in which Smashmouth opened up for them. Ugh. They got Song 2 out of the way early, to send the tourists packing.
Just need to remember, this song satirizing American Grunge and Geek Punk Genre style at that time. Especially on Weezer (I guess). 25 years later, it really gives the feels that even a song like this can be so influential yet so funny if you dig deeper into it.
I went to see Starship Troopers at the cinema because of this song. The song played on the trailer and I thought I would hear it again. I didn't! However, I got to learn who Blur was and was blown away by them. Great to see them again and this new video take on their song.

Now he’s 24 and having a lay in bed and I’m just about to speak to my Alexa and ring his Alexa in his room and he’s gonna hear this loud and clear lol , I even use to put it on to make him wake up happily in the mornings for school when a teenager lol. He’s not needed to wake to this for years but it still gets played in the car etc . I can’t wait to show him the video.thank you for sharing and also as a mum I love things that made my child so happy and song 2 was the very thing. Thank you.🇬🇧💛🤍
