This video is just one long commercial. I understand the state of TH-cam's video production economy, but as a regular viewer I feel trapped by this kind of empty content, not indicated as sponsored content. Too bad
yeah like his videos normally (although some times they feel like IKEA commercials...) but this one just is 'how do I advertise belloroy' nothing to do with anything else
I don't mind whether it's a sponsored content. The emptiness, lack of insights, critical view, comparison etc is concern. Just saying this is great because I use it doesn't make sense.
Okay guys i get that you're upset because its an ad, but if you've been watching Daniel for a while you'll know that a big reason he has chosen to promote bellroy and not some bs company is because he genuinely likes their products and their design philosophy fits very well within the "minimalist"/essentials-only lifestyle that Daniel is sharing with us as viewers. Keep up the great content Daniel!
I enjoyed this video and think the other folks hating on it should just... chill a little bit. I also really enjoy your more architecture-forward videos. I'm glad that not all of your videos are like this one: there are way more folks creating videos like this one than there are creating thoughtful architectural videos like some of your others. But it seems like a cool opportunity to work with Bellroy and I felt like you carried through your organized ethos to the travel backpack. Keep it up.
this was a great video!!! thank you for filming the outfit changes!!! It might have been annoying to film... but it was the most helpful bit of this video!!!
There’s so much negativity in the comment section these days,,,, unbelievable.,, if people don’t like it, just leave. Making such a big announcement about why they are leaving so publicly is completely unnecessary, people need to make money too. People that make content have to earn a living. Daniel, I’ve been here since your 2nd video ever. And I am still here. Super inspired by your content and loving the products you bring on to show us! It facilitates with me finding travel products for sure as a minimalist.
Sorry but why film just a long commercial. Bellroy is amazing for sure, but the constant commercials for it are getting just annoying. I used to love your videos but this is getting too much.
I am really suprised by the comments. I have not heard about Bellroy yet (maybe because I am from Europe?) so for me it was a new brand that is worth to explore. I also believe that thanks to your knowledge about design you examine all the features thoroughly and share really interesting insights (some details that can be usefull while traveling). So for me it was surely a highly informational video! It's an ad but it goes deep and i find that really usefull.
This is amazing food for thought. I'm often find myself switching between a purse for everyday, backpack for day trips and hip back for a bike. I've yet to find that one and done bag but what you've said in the video has inspired me to search :)
The best part of minimalist travel is walking off the aircraft, getting a ride to your hotel, and being checked in before the airport baggage carousel even starts turning.
HI, quick question: are you a Mac or a Windows guy? I saw in one video that you had a Razer PC, but there I see a Mac. What made you switch? I'm trying to decide which system to buy, also for architectre.
i bought the transit too. But the straps really does leave a lot to be desired. Even the sternum strap came off and i didn't even noticed that. now it's lost. Otherwise, its a good bag.
An ok packing video but without the normal voiced thanks for X sponsoring this video, it had that multi-level marketing surprise pitch from a cousin feel. 😮😳🤔
You’re easily one of my favorite TH-camrs. A Daniel Titchner vid helps a day get better. With that said, I felt, like many other people, a little weird watching this. It just didn’t feel like your usual helpful and unbiased content. And you know that’s fine. We gotta eat. Perhaps an alternative title, “Architects favorite Travel Backpack(EDC) would have better set expectations? I’d have still watched, just not felt bamboozled by this, honestly, 7 min ad
the problem though is airport security where you have to take out laptops and accessories! You'll have to go into two compartments - that's my bug bear. I try to put all the things I have to pull out to put in the trays in one compartment.
If you travel a lot I think this bag would be great. I like the content of the video. Has good ideas for other travel items not just for this bag. We have switched to compression cubes for traveling and love them.
And this video is what made me unsubscribe. I think a line has been crossed when a substantial amount of content being posted is shallow consumerism amazon-affiliate links and sponsorships... I'm here for interior design and re-design, not ads. My time is a lot more precious than that.
I recommend avoiding Bellroy, the quality isn't there to justify the price. I get he needs to make money, but to others dont spend your hard-earned money on Bellroy.
It is extremely difficult for TH-camrs to make a living. I wish fellow viewers would show a bit more understanding and compassion, and give people the benefit of the doubt. Daniel regularly produces amazing FREE content for us, we gain incredible value from it. And bellroy is legitimately a brand that coincides well with all of his philosophy and recommendations (that he would have given anyway), so what is wrong with being compensated for it?
If you are travelling to somewhere where you can go with one t-shirt, you don't need a complicated backpack and all these control-freak OCD stuff. Just get a plastic bag from the grocery store, lol. Half of the bags you promoted are not only unneeded, but they add weight (and this is important, if you actually travel, and not make a complicated influencer promo), makes packing and unpacking more complex and slower, and are nightmare when at the airport security.
This is just one long sponsor video. Stick to your old architect videos! Thats why i came to the channel and what you are excellent at. If the channel diviates from that, you'll lose a lot of followers
Do not buy Bellroy, some of the worst quality overpriced products. Respect to you for securing the bag, but to others dont spend your hard-earned money on Bellroy.
No footage or actual experience using this setup on an actual trip? No pros and cons from actual use, just reading off the bags features? Come on man, you used to have a good channel, this is disappointing to see, waiting for a new video from you and ending up with a long ad. Might be time to unsubscribe
Surprised to see so many people complain about "ad". Don't think these people fully understand the purpose of this channel. Or TH-cam in fact. Yall whine about sponsored content as if watching it makes you purchase the item involuntarily. Are yall bots? Lol. Please just unsubscribe. What a waste of comment space.
No it was more on the delivery. Most creators give a general thanks for X sponsoring this in the very beginning. Not at the end where they know 90% have dropped off and won't see it. Most understand the need for sponsors. But salesy approach tactics like this are just a waste of the viewer's time.
Huge thanks to Bellroy for sponsoring this video (0:10, 6:36). Hopefully you guys found it helpful too!
@@DanielTitchener The delivery was a bit off mate. 😳
Do you think it's possible that these hater accounts were sent/made by Bellroy's competitors? The bag has so many compartments it's incredible.
@@gnparticle No it's just it came across very salesy. With a poorly defined sponsor declaration at the end. Where most have dropped off.
as soon as i saw this video and title i was like "it's gonna be one long-ass ad isn't it"
and i was right
Please bring back the architect redesigns series 🙏🏻🙏🏻

But it is indicated as sponsored content at 0:10 till 0:16 or do you mean that he should have said it out loud himself?
I don't mind whether it's a sponsored content. The emptiness, lack of insights, critical view, comparison etc is concern. Just saying this is great because I use it doesn't make sense.
Where where where
Wish he'd mentioned if his "EDC" bag had been his EDC since being sponsored or something he used every day. Hard to trust.
I know the bag is sponsored but legitimately it’s pretty well designed I gotta say.

Kudos for the stopmotion-like animations for the clothes on a clean background!
Loved this video, and I just subscribed

suddently we all become minimalists when a bag sponsor knocks on the door /s

Trousers at 1:40 from?
Is it allowed to carry a fanny bag and a small Backpack as a carry on , on a plane?

Sick, a 7 minute ad
Don't think this anywhere near as bad as the comments are making out. 100% it's one long ad, but if don't want to watch it... Don't watch.
I just take what I can use and leave the rest. Now I've been inspired to buy a 30L backpack off of Amazon with a lot of compartments
i bought the transit too. But the straps really does leave a lot to be desired. Even the sternum strap came off and i didn't even noticed that. now it's lost. Otherwise, its a good bag.
What's with all the "where"??
Waiting for that aeropress link 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞
That was painful.
Next time, I said at the beginning that it is a ad
An ok packing video but without the normal voiced thanks for X sponsoring this video, it had that multi-level marketing surprise pitch from a cousin feel. 😮😳🤔
Personally, I loved this! Next best thing to visiting a Bellroy store.

I am traveling this week and this is just the video I needed. Thanks
@@Whigu Not the product, but how Daniel packs for travel using this or any backpack for that matter.
honestly I think I found my dream backpack
Oh dear, don’t think this video went down well with regular viewers……
If you travel a lot I think this bag would be great. I like the content of the video. Has good ideas for other travel items not just for this bag. We have switched to compression cubes for traveling and love them.
It’s very important that you’ve highlighted that your wrist bag can carry your iPhone 15 Pro Max…
I need the link for the packing cubes

I’m not sure this man knows what the word ‘where’ means.
awesome video mate, never heard of this backpack before so going to take a look now
I used your bellroy link to buy a city tote! Thanks Daniel
Cool commercial.
he said coffee maker - and click Stop
If you are doing a sponsored video. Say it upfront. Do not trick your audience. #NotCoolBro.
I recommend avoiding Bellroy, the quality isn't there to justify the price. I get he needs to make money, but to others dont spend your hard-earned money on Bellroy.
Can you get it under a Flair Airlines seat?
Love your travel setup

Thanks for revealing the hidden tag slot.
You hired a clothes mdel. How much was that?
Don’t forget a spare bag for dirty clothes !
me encanto!
Patagonia's mini MLC is way better, for a one bag travel.
Love bellroy but this one doesn't fit as much stuff and the bag by itself weighs a lot
All what I need is charger and toothbrush 😂
Fell asleep couldn’t finish the whole video what is going on in this channel 😢
You look like Sub Zero from Mortal Kombat
This is the first video of yours I dislike. I'm disappointed to see more good content creators become brand shills motivated by affiliated link sales.
Architect without notebook ? ;)
His iPad mini and Apple pencil that he discussed in a previous video
