This is wonderful Lori. I am making one for each of my grandchildren and for a friend....6 of them in all. They will also make great treasure boxes for the rest of the year. Thank you so much for this. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Holiday season

Kathy, I'm so glad you like the design. It really is an easy and fun project. Just plan on lots of card stock to get all 6 cut out. lol. Have fun making them!!

I made 6 of these for Christmas! What a fun project. Went together so nicely. I used Christmas cardstock for drawers...used up a lot of old paper that was laying around.
I'm going to make one for myself to organize my brads. I'll use whichever Brad is in the drawer as the "pull"

What a great idea! I love the idea of using the brad as the drawer pull.

Dawn, can you give me an idea of the number of sheets of Design Paper needed? And could you estimate how long it took you to make one of these? Obviously takes a while to cut out 24 pieces for drawers and holders. I have a niece who wants to make one with me and we're trying to plan the number of days we need to work together. Thanks.

@@ruthiew244 I think you can get 2 drawers out of one 12 "x 12" sheet of paper. I don't remember how much for the base. I don't know how long one took. Sorry I'm not more help!

@@ruthiew244Hi Ruth, I don't know whether you're planning on making one with your niece still, but thought I'd reply...
I'm using 225gsm kraft card for all of the parts, the drawers took 12 × A4 sheets, and the cabinets 8 × A4 sheets, plus about 4 sheets of A4 for the other panels. Then I'm using a 12" × 12" 230gsm design pad for the decor panels, they took about a quarter of 3 sheets and half of a fourth sheet, as I used four different patterns.
It's quite a time consuming project, I'm not finished yet and I've been working on it on and off for a while, but I'd guess at around 3 days to make it all. That might be a bit of an overestimate though, because I've only just got my first digital cutter and I'm still finding my way around things.

This is just what I have been looking for! I know this is a year old but I hope you can help me out. I am a new subscriber and have been looking for an advent calendar that is small but fun and functional and hopefully reusable to become a traditional part of Christmas. Here's my problem, I don't have an electronic cutting machine, would it be possible to get the measurements so that I can cut the pieces by hand? I am willing to pay the $5 you asked for the SVG files.

nice but there us always something off with these files...the drawers front are too small ..gad to make them all a pinch bigger. It's a lot of money and paper! So won't be making again unfortunately.
    I can usually get 4 boxes to a 12 x 12 ...

Sedira, In the description of this video I clarify that with this: "Contrary to what I said in the video, I changed my mind! This file DOES INCLUDE the following embellishments: snowman, candy cane, Christmas tree, and "Merry Christmas" sentiment." Sorry about that. I filmed it and then figured "why not?" include the embellishments, they are so cute. Hope you get to make one!

I just really need help. Thanks so much I hope I hear from you. Betty Moore

Hi Betty! The Christmas village that’s at cuttingclasses.com is $35. That is a completely different Christmas village that I’m teaching at silhouette. What I’m teaching at silhouette is a chipboard Christmas village. You can watch the replay for free on TH-cam at the silhouette TH-cam channel.

There is a width measurement in the file. Please make sure it comes in at that size. You should not have any issues with Silhouette, but Cricut's newest update messes with some file sizes.

I used 225gsm A4 for the drawers, cabinets and covering/joining panels, I used 24 sheets total, 12 for the drawers, 8 for the cabinets and 4 more, for the panels. Then a few decorative panels, I used a 12" x 12" 230gsm design pad, about a quarter of a sheet of three designs and then about half of a fourth design.
