January in Shetland

This is our first year in Shetland, having relocated from North Wales.
The Shetland Isles are a group of islands off the North East coast of Scotland, with a sub arctic climate. Shetland is so far North that we're actually closer to Norway than most of the UK mainland.
We'll be documenting our life here at 60 degress North to show how we adapt to life on these remote islands.
Our house requires a lot of repairs and renovations, and the garden requires restoration, but we aim to make this our dream 'forever' home.

Very good video. Unfortunately your microphone is crackling a tiny bit. That could be that it is voice activated instead of being on all of the time. You need some kind of heater that doesn't need electricity nor oil. I hope that you have a carbon monoxide detector. The first couple of years will be a lot of work getting things the way you want.
