I live in Sun Valley, ID and have worked at the Allen Conference before, the whole experience is quite a trip (I've personally seen Bezos, Zuckerberg and Gates at it). You can always tell in the Wood River Valley when the conference is going on, there are VIP blacked-out suburbans driving around everywhere and our tiny airport (which keep in mind has all of 2 gates) hosts approximately 60 private jets on the runway aprons in a valley where only 15K people live in rural Idaho. This past year, so many private jets showed up to the conference that the jets would fly to Sun Valley, drop off their passengers and then fly empty to Twin Falls (75mi south) to park there only to return (empty) to Sun Valley to pick-up their passengers once the conference was over. Talk about a huge waste of emissions!

I live in Sun Valley, ID and have worked at the Allen Conference before, the whole experience is quite a trip (I've personally seen Bezos, Zuckerberg and Gates at it). You can always tell in the Wood River Valley when the conference is going on, there are VIP blacked-out suburbans driving around everywhere and our tiny airport (which keep in mind has all of 2 gates) hosts approximately 60 private jets on the runway aprons in a valley where only 15K people live in rural Idaho.
This past year, so many private jets showed up to the conference that the jets would fly to Sun Valley, drop off their passengers and then fly empty to Twin Falls (75mi south) to park there only to return (empty) to Sun Valley to pick-up their passengers once the conference was over. Talk about a huge waste of emissions!
