Yeah... I knew a lot of the Adventure Time fandom was into Infinity Train too, so I thought I'd give it a spin. Didn't have any thoughts of doing an ambient project about it. But as soon as I heard the music and felt the atmosphere of the show, the ideas came thick and fast.
ive already listened to this video several times, it's one of my favorites of yours that doesn't feel too emotional for me to get distracted by, but still engaging enough for me to focus to. i think it's all the calming synth droning in the background. i think i prefer my ambience to be a bit more melodic like this than just long periods of sound effects / soundscapes. definitely a bonus that this is infinity train themed. it was such an amazing show i really loved, that left us off on an amazing season with so many loose ends left untied. i would've loved to see what would happen to the characters next and how they were all connected. such a shame the show had to end the way it did.....
Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you like this album. I was very pleased with how it shaped up upon completion. It's a real shame that the show got canned. It felt, story-wise, like we were just on the cusp of having a fifth season that would explore the origins of the train as well delve more into Amelia's story arc some more. Whilst the show fell victim to behind the scenes business cost cutting bullsh*t, I don't lose all hope. The show's creators have unfinished business, and I'm sure they'd be willing to create another season, if the opportunity arrises. Furthermore, all of HBO/Discovery shenanigans are not over yet. They're still in financial disarray, and there's speculation that Paramount are interested in a takeover/merger. If that were to happen, it could turn on the money-taps and enable prematurely canned shows and stuff pulled from streaming services as tax write-offs to return. 🤞🏼
@@opusscience those are great points! usually i see mergers in a negative light but this actually sounds like something i’d hope to happen if what you’re saying is possible 😭😭
@@Ryuusei924 Well... I'm just a guy speculating on the Internet... I could be TOTALLY wrong 😆. The way I see it, Infinity Train and many other shows were binned off as "losses and tax write-offs" or something along those lines. That's basically a paper-based accounting exercise to reclassify income time-frames or something, against production costs so that income is not eligible for taxation. I suspect because of this, there are laws/rules/regulations around these shows needing to NOT be aired for x number of years due to their "un-taxed" status... I dunno 🤷🏻♂... I.e. these shows are bought and paid for. They have revenue generating potential, but are locked away in a vault not earning their publishers any money, because they were sacrificed by accountants for short-term financial savings, so severe the financial woes at the time. However, if/when a merger happens, it might change the landscape for such entities like Infinity Train, as they'd be under new ownership, who might be legally entitled to do with them as they see fit. I'd like to think if that's the case, that common sense would prevail and they could be reinstated, finding homes on streaming services. Hosting them on streaming platforms shouldn't cost a lot (comparatively), and any/all money they earn via subscriptions/adverts is essentially money for old rope (passive income on something long after its initial costs have been recouped). But like I said, this is all just guesswork and speculation. I could have completely misunderstood the situation and/or wider taxation legalities surrounding the matter. 🤷🏻♂ I like to stay positive though. I'm nearly 40 years old! I've been around long enough to see all sorts of TV shows and Video Game franchises disappear for ever, only to eventually find their way back into the zeitgeist one way or another.
My soundtrack of choice for playing Elite: Dangerous. I haven't watched Infinity Train (yet?), but this album gives off those chill space kind of vibes that instantly clicked for me while playing Elite. I love it, keep up the good work.
amazing work as usual, keep it up! You've really hit a niche with the cartoon-inspired ambient mixes. Hitting two popular topics at once! Just a matter of time before this channel totally blows up :)
Thank you. Glad you like it. It sure would be nice if the channel blew up and I could work on this sort of thing more regularly. But if it doesn't, it doesn't. I'm still enjoying working on these projects as and when I have the time to 😊.
@@opusscience Don't ever give up on this passion! You have a bunch of videos with 100k+ views. I'm no expert in TH-cam analytics but that shows there is definitely interest and demand for these mixes. If times ever seem tough, remember that there are people out there (like me) who love and count on your amazing talent here. Keep it up!!!
@@opusscience indeed. Season 4 was set in the events before Amielia took over the train, which would lead to season 5 through her point of view. Also thanks for acknowledging my comment! Keep up the great music dude.

I love the vibes that this channel has. Have you ever considered making an album based off the music from Avatar the Last Airbender? I think that could be very enjoyable. I haven’t seen Infinity Train but this is making me interested in it now
Thank you for your kind words. I've not watched Avatar The Last Airbender, but I hear good things. Maybe one day I'll get around to it. As for Infinity Train, I recommend it. It's a good watch.
Honestly, I don't know. I don't have any plans to, but I never say never. If I get new ideas, or the show gets un-cancelled and new episodes get made, to inspire me with new scenarios and characters, then I might make more.
@OSC understandable. I don't know much about the show, so maybe there's more inspiration, but nothing is pushing you to do more. I just wonder what else you could make, tho. I would think something like steven Universe, but I'd like to see what you come up with next!
@@cactusatackus8523 I've had quite a few people recommend Amphibia and Steven Universe. I've not seen Amphibia, but hear good things. I've watch seasons 1-5 of SU, but have yet to watch the movie or Future. Given the story arcs, the characters, the locations and the great in-show music, an ambient project based on SU looms on the horizon like a big final-boss battle. I've got some other side quests I need to finish first though. 😉
@OSC that's great to hear! As for not having seen amphibia I had just finished the whole series in a week and a half and, it definitely has ambiance but only in certain moments. For the most part, it's an upbeat joke heavy series, so I don't think you could ever go for a "general" vibe, but I think in the moments you could there is alot of potental. I also absolutely recommend the watch

The sound of this brings 'Green-House meets Steve Roach" type thing to mind! Im loving it!!

This actually sounds like what Hans Zimmer would do if he scored Infinity Train, Reminds me of Bladerunner.
