I wrote this in response to someone in your previous video so I’ll repost it here: In English, there are currently 1,218 PSA 10 Magikarp out of 5,204 graded in total. That’s a 23.4% gem rate, so less than 1 out of every 4 copies submitted to PSA get a 10. For comparison, in Japanese there are currently 24,239 PSA 10 Magikarp out of 26,070 graded in total. That’s a 92.97% gem rate, so over 9 out of 10 Japanese Magikarp submitted to PSA get a 10. That is a very substantial difference. At least for this card (and yes, in general), Japanese is the clear quality winner. I do love the art in this card and I love PSA 10s so I have it in Japanese even though I mainly collect English. I can’t justify paying this much for the English version, and for that price, I would rather buy the Twilight Masquerade Greninja ex (SIR) in a PSA 10, honestly.
If Pokemon doesn’t reprint paldea evolved I can see the magikarp be a $1000 psa 10 or higher . The hard part isn’t pulling it from a pack matter of fact it should be fairly easy because it’s just an illustration rare . The value of this card comes from the psa 10 grade because it’s insanely hard to grade
I just got it raw, but this was my philosophy on Greninja PSA 10. Altho I never expected the English one to moon so hard. But IDC, I still have that gorgeous Greninja in PSA 10 mothafuckaaaas😂
