When I was 12 getting into punk rock for the first time, listening to bands like Rancid, Misfits, Dead Boys, The Clash, and all that. The first time I saw this video and band here on TH-cam, they blew my mind. Punk rock to me wasn't the same. GBH will always be to me, the most undeniably punk rock band of all time.
Oh those were the days......im 58 years old now and i can remember seeing the English dogs at the 100 club in the 1980s.....they were a really good band and also really nice bloke's too
Same, saw them in early 80s, city baby's attacked by rats fookin legendary, saw them 3 or 4 times the last about 10 years ago in this little Irish pub/and they had really good food and they still killed it chicago.
Whoever posted this video is my mate for life. In the 80s, my high school went from being a relatively safe '80s new wave' school to a gritty, wannabe Blood/Crips gang infested battle zone. Clay years G.B.H, Secret years Exploited (w. Big John), One Way System, Red Alert and Cockney Rejects were the bands that helped prepare me for trying to survive, find a girlfriend, and graduate with decent grades in an environment that had suddenly gone from finding a highschool sweet heart to finding yourself in the middle of a gang fight. I remember this episode of The Tube really well.... they featured a couple of these 'new wave of British punk' acts on the show and the other one apart from GBH which really grabbed my attention was the mighty Blitz, from Derbyshire, who if I may recall correctly, performed their then single New Age along with a short 'interview' with one of the more gormless 'presenters' (of which they had a fair few) too. I couldn't stop laughing at the dork who seemed totally clueless .... Happy days when you're a 17 year old wanting some respite from all that commercial chart stuff!

First time I've seen this since it was broadcast, only 40 years ago and I've still got the single and I still play iit occasionally, it doesn't sound as ear blastingly hardcore as it did all those decades ago, we now have good bands like AMYL and the SNIFFERS playing in a similar style and they are massive around the world. Funny how time and music changes and not for the worse either.
The funniest thing about this was Paula Yates saying that smashing their equipment was "original" as a (quite fair) bit of a dig at the band, but it wasn't THEIR equipment, It was old broken equipment belonging to the studio! Unoriginal maybe, but not stupid.

Jay Cavazos, Annie ,punker Charlie and myself.....drove up from Laredo to Austin....05....there was a mild hurricane affecting South Texas and Austin was balmy n' hot.....Bulemics invited us upstairs at old Emos......Colin (GBH)was asking us if Laredo TX would be cool to drive thru .....because that was there path to Corpus Christie ....next night of there tour.....we said don't worry about it.....rain today ....desert tomorrow.
I love that vj's digs at G.B.H at the end of the vid. Something about how she wouldn't open mouth kiss them or something..🤷 Anyway, kinda funny. I've never known any female fans of G.B.H so maybe they feel the same lol.

I got City Baby's Revenge when it came out.Went to see them with my cousin at Power Tools in Houston with The Accused opening up. It was one of the most violent pits ever. Bunch of skinheads were there to ruin it for everyone. Some time in 87 I think.

Bought G.B.H The Clay Years on Cassette as a lad of 14 years old. And so I delved into Punk Rock and HardCore. No Regrets.
