I have lived in Armenia. There is always a contant threat of Azerbaijan invading that place. They do not have a powerful army. Very less troops and civilians are always prepared to go to war. I have lost a few Armenian friends too. Kudos to their valour. A threat of an all out war against azerbaijan remains. Having lost the recent war, they exhausted most of their ammunition. This is why they need to actively purchase military systems.

Akash missile system cannisterised form 2 squadrans were delivered to IAF in 2002 against their wish by Dr Kalam and Dr Prahalada project director Akash system for training and ruggedness and effectiveness of system .Hats off to Dr Prahalada for his persistence made it to see that AF ultimately accepted fully with a assurance DRDL will be with them within 24 hrs notice for any shortcoming in system

Sir, IGMDP was startedin 1983 not in 1980 and it was started from scratch and there was a sanctioned by US on import of some critical components in spite of so many hurdles DRDO could develop so many missile systems but our PM is still critisising DRDO everything takes time for a underdeveloped country with so many constraints no support from services and GOI they all are interested to import and get back some kick back in kind
