- People kept asking for this so i figured i would give it a try. I just started messing with this game a few days ago so im still learning.
This wouldn't be possible without Kornman's research on Halo Wars content packages. So give him a big thanks.
Flamethrower flood forms
That's it. This galaxy is screwed.
I dont understand why they dont fight the flood with fire , fire kills them quickly and easily.
+here is your sign In Halo 1 the Flamethrower is actually quite terrible against them. I've played on a bunch of custom maps with flamethrowers against the flood and its almost impossible to predict when the fire actually counts as firing since it takes so long to go out of the flamethrower then register as the flame actually coming out of it completely.
+here is your sign Actual flood have increased durability when it comes to their bodies (ignore pain) and they literally run towards you while on fire. That being said, it also takes a while for fire to kill flood because they dont stop chasing you unless their dead or you are infected. Wether or not they have limbs or not, they will keep comming at you!Their only goal is to infect others so they are willing sacrifice their lives to infect others. That being said, there are various types of flood in various types of places so a flamethrower would not be useful all the time. Example: The mona lisa, if a marine brought and used a flamethrower inside the ship, not only does it have the potetial to have the ship be engulfed in flames but also have the means of burning his comrades (teamate shooting his gas tank by accident killing everyone etc)
I can't imagine a Flood form wielding a weapon that it is highly vulnerable to.

DCMarvel2009 If I understand correctly, Graveminds can be formed wherever they are needed, so long as there is enough dead organisms to make it.

Isn't there a software system or something where you can take a sample of someone's voice and make it say basically anything and it sounds natural? Or is that just in the movies?
Imagine the Gravemind saying stuff like "All units" or "Vehicle Depot complete".

Kinky Kadance 343i has stated that a project pertaining Halo Wars would be considered greatly, as it was a successful launch, but they also want a great RTS developer in their toolbox since ensemble studios broke apart. Right now they're just working on too much to add more onto the plate. It is a great possibility however that another Halo Wars will arise.
Flood Parasite there was a petition at E3 and it said yes, they would be making halo Wars 2, not until 2018 tho

I got idea for future flood mod
You start off with a hive mind base
And you have turret slots all around
But you only make bulbs and tentacles
The tentacles are like a melee turret
And the bulbs allow more control (I'm getting to that)
You also have a random unit button
So when ever you press it you could get any flood form
It doesn't say the price but you pay it when the unit is decided
Each bulb adds 1 or 2 specific unit buttons
Like when you make the first bulb
You get the infection form and grunts
And second gives you marines and flames etc.
But you still have the random unit button
Do you guys think this is a good way to make the flood unique?
I feel the random button at the start adds some unpredictability to the flood
And it kind of matches them

Even if that was possible, it'd look like total dogshit because the vanilla camera distance actually covers up the awful textures and models. Furthermore, the controls would be clunky as all fuck.

All this mod needs is the gravemind's voice over for each command
They need to add the flood as a playable faction. If they are going to make it exclusive to XboxOne and pc then the least they can do is give us a playable flood faction in halo wars 2.

Deegan Norris I can understand prometheans because they would have cool units like the sentinels. But why do you want the rebels to be added? Wouldn't they be the same as the UNSC except for maybe a couple different units?

EVERY Halo game would be great on PC.
If I had this, I would just spawn a whole bunch of Bomber Forms, cause they can spawn Infection Forms, and the Infection Forms can just take control of any enemy. The Bomber Forms are the ultimate Flood units, they will take over the universe 😈😈😈
I remember when Halogen (Halo mod for C&C Generals) was being made and I asked about playing as the flood and forerunners.
Needless to say that modding community was very un-accepting of that idea and got called quite a few expletives for merely bringing it up. Can't say I felt sorry for them when the C&D order got thrown on top of their heads.

Flood vs Rebels or sentinels pleaseeee like a huge battle
They should make every faction be able to make a maximum of 100 units. Since the flood fight's by overwhelming their opponent it would really help the flood out if they became playable.
I'm hoping come halo wars 2 the flood will make an appearance as a playable faction. I feel like I'm not alone on this statement either.
I was always a little confused why the Flood (and maybe something like the Forerunner's AI's) was not a playable faction in a game that desperately needed more playable factions. Hell, even Star Trek Amanda way back in the early 2000's gave us 4 factions. This game also needs space battles.
Interesting how the Flood Bomber got its own additional information (such as the title of Flood Air Unit) and stuck out as an individual unit type from the rest of the units. Huh.

i wish the flood base was that giant tentacle blob you see in some campaign missions and the turrets could be those one giant tentacles

I wish devs would just ship their games with these kinds of cool features even if they were this incomplete. Could just add a sandbox mode of sorts and let people go nuts with the game. Better than not having this stuff at all.

Gamecheat should make a mod where you can have units in multiplayer that are exclusive to campaign such as plasma rhinos sgt forge or Spartans like Douglas with a rocket launcher

you should mod it so the colony is the base and all those little flood spawners in the campaign are its side buildings and make the lauhcners the defense also add flood cods flood spores

I have an idea for the three flood leaders if they did make them playable. The first leader could be the flood form of captain Keyes from the first halo. The second leader could be the grave mind from halo 2. The third leader could be the flood form of the prophet of regret from halo 2.

Devyat nine I've tried bringing up the flood becoming a playable faction to other people and the first thing that everyone says is " It wouldn't work the flood would be too OP" so the only option left to make people who want the game to be balanced happy is to nerf the flood a lot. That means making it so that the flood can only use one type of technology per flood leader. So the prophet of regret would be flood units with covenant technology, the proto gravemind captain Keyes flood leader would be UNSC technology with flood units, and the gravemind would be just flood units with no technology. But you don't have to worry about the flood being added to the game because 343 is in charge of making Halo games now, and it seems to me like 343 doesn't want the flood to have anything to do with their Halo games.
Devyat nine That doesn't sound like any fun though. A faction that has absolutely no leader powers and they're already pretty easy to beat? In Halo wars 1 the flood weren't that difficult to beat, and there's the flamethrower unit that's in the UNSC that could easily kill the flood. I think taking away leader powers would be nerfing the flood a bit too much, I've heard that the leader powers in Halo wars 2 are very overpowered and if the flood don't even have leader powers then they would go from being a faction that could be a actual threat to other players who played against them to just being a minor annoyance.

I think you should've spent a little more time getting more views at different angles of each unit because that way it's a bit easier to make out what they look like.....for me at least I don't know if anyone else wants a better angle like I do, just saying. P.S I'm not saying that it's bad, I just played games like this before and I was able to get good look on the units.
If they don't add the flood as a playable faction then the game won't be worth buying.

There's many things he can do. He could change the veterancy level cap to like 20 instead of 3, and then watch one thrasher form destroy an entire base in 2-3 seconds.
Halo wars would have been ten times cooler and more fun if you would be able to play as the flood.
