@@symundin9754 DUDE I MADE THIS COMMENT 5 YEARS AGO? but seriously, you just awakened my third eye, I have ascended to another astral plain and from there I will watch more
You really have to admire the brutes tenacity; they refuse to believe that headbutting the flood is an ineffective tactic, no matter how many of their own die. In all honesty, though, the problem the brutes have here is they don't believe in range; always close in. Which, with marines it works; with flood tanks, no. Limitation of the AI though. At least, right up until the Chieftains. Then, it started getting pretty cool. And oh boy when the hammer chieftain showed up. Solo nine-helps to have an actually overpowered melee weapon, and invulnerability for kicks and giggles.
It's always really fascinating to see how the AI react with each other. Yes, while the Brutes may have been mindlessly attempting to rip the tanks with their bare hands, I really feel that in the last few rounds the Brutes kept at a smart distance and actually worked pretty well as a team. That Chieftain at the end really seemed to know what he was doing though. He even turned on overshield in moments the tanks could have actually mauled him. And yes, the Brutes are very tenacious, and this is especially noticeable in ODST.
(27:13 - 27:23) The moment that hammer was swung, it took four swings in under approximately 8 seconds to destroy those five Flood Tanks and those hordes of Infection Forms. You talk about that Brute Chieftain wielding that hammer like it was a mop and wiping those Flood away like the common stains in a house.
It would be hard to have customizable armor though, seeing how we've only seen Minors, Captains, Stalkers and two Chieftain variants in their power armor. I would love to see more of the Brutes so we can fix this and maybe add them into multiplayer. And it'll look great seeing Humans, Elites, and Brutes all on one team if 343 will ever go back to the old Halo formula.
Well I think a 3 way battle would be good enough, I'm thinking UNSC SPARTAN 4's (Thats the current generation, right?), separatist Elites, and regular old Brutes. The Flood is known for being too fragile with the right shot and don't exactly have their own shield system.
brutes really are stupid to deploy a bubble shield on melee enemies, especially the ones who literally put the shield ON the flood then try to SHOOT the flood under the shield, i think these guys need to go to covenant boot camp again
I love how that one last Infection Form at the very end of the Chieftain match was actually fleeing and the Chieftain was just like, "Get back here! I will not be ignored!"
All the Covenant needed to do was to drop like five or six of those Chieftains on a ground battle, and they would have been in the lead in no time. Holy shit.
