      @@itsmikelake b20 has 80mm bores and pistons so you will need a machine shop to bore it out. The M50 b20 blocks can be bored to b25 size with no issue and actually they become the same. I do this to get a fresh and perfectly round surface and seen 800hp builds made like this with no issues.

    Building my first motor while tapping the piston in with the handle of a hammer I missed the piston hitting my finger that was setting on the ring compressor just skinning the palm of my finger. It hurt and I still got a scare from it but it was a good lesson to watch my fingers

      @filipprucnal 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wouldn't that give him a ridiculous compression ratio? From what I know M50B25 rods are 5mm longer. Are the N54 pistons shorter to compensate?
      Edit: I looked it up and M50/M52/M54 rods are exactly the same lenght (135mm) so there is no concern with the CR. M50B25 rod is the strongest stock rod of the M5x family. So, ideally you'd use M50B25 rods (or any M5x aftermarket forged rod), M54B30 crank, and a set of forged M54B30 pistons

    • @itsmikelake
      @itsmikelake  5 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @itsmikelake
