  • So, you heard it here first (or last), depending on how you roll.
    Today, we are trying out the SCOVILLE 4.3L Air Fryer for the first time. We know we are a bit late to the party, but we are glad we waited a bit longer…and arrived fashionably late! We got this excellent piece of kit for just £35 at ‪@Asda‬ what a BARGAIN!

    Thank you for the effort, like the effort you forced that poor chicken in trying to convince me but rather small space. BTW, was it just a coincidence that your speckled dress matched the brand specks? Once again, thanks.

    This is a good air fryer, but it is unfortunately designed to break!.. At the front right hand side of the draw, there's a piece of plastic, which when you close the draw, puts pressure on a switch which subsequently switches the fans on!. This plastic is prone to breaking, and when it does break, the draw on that right hand side won't quite close correctly!. This is turn results in the fans being unable to be switched on!. Replacing that piece of weak plastic, with a piece of steal, would resolve this problem, but if it's an intentional design flaw (to force people into buying a new air fryer), then I can't really see Scoville wanting to correct the problem anytime soon!!!. I bought mine on the 13th January 2023, and it broke on 17th December 2023.

      Hi Andrew, thank you for watching this video. I appreciate your information about this piece of equipment. I fortunately have not had any issue with this machine in the way you have mentioned in your comment, but I thank you for making myself and others aware. We have used this machine at least daily since March of this year until about a month ago when we got a larger appliance. Hopefully your airfryer will still be under warranty for repair or replacement.

      I think for the price, the @scoville is excellent. I have used mine every day since I bought it! It’s really good fun to use and cooks very quick. The easiness to clean it takes less than 5mins too. If I wanted to drawers, I’d buy the Ninja, but for our first ever air fryer, it has been fantastic so far. Good luck with whichever one you choose!

    how do you take the tray out to clean the inside properly?

    • @ScottishFoodieLassie
      @ScottishFoodieLassie  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Okina, thanks for watching my video. You can take the drawer out completely using the handle at the front, and there is a small grill inside the basket which is completely removable too. All I use on my basket/grill is Fairy Liquid and boiling hot water. I still use this airfryer every day and never had an issue with it. A fantastic machine, so reliable.

      @@ScottishFoodieLassie how do you use the little handle thing tho? Any chance you could make a quick video showing it please? I can’t figure it out, I see the little tab thing on the handle but it seems to have no movement

    • @ScottishFoodieLassie
      @ScottishFoodieLassie  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @okina7816 the handle is at the front of the machine and you grab the handle, pull it towards you and the full basket comes out. I’m not in a position to make a video on this part specifically but it is very simple, the easiest most efficient machine I’ve ever bought or owned.

      @@ScottishFoodieLassie doesn’t seem to work on mine unfortunately, the little tab just doesn’t budge, looked at it closely too and it doesn’t have any crease next to it so looks like it doesn’t move but surely it should? I’m so confused

      @@okina7816 Hi Okina, I’m sorry I can’t offer any more advice. Worth checking online or the info handbook that comes with the airfryer itself, if it has a handle, the same as this one, it does open towards you and the basket will come out. Good luck 🍀
