Bichons are gods gifts. We had 2 brothers, Chip and Dale. They have both passed and we enjoyed every minute they were with us. Be patient, Bichons are about the slowest dog to potty train. Get a second one if you can. They will be best friends and keep each other company. Bichons can suffer depression if left alone; why we bought two. Thanks for sharing!
Love the names 😍 haha. My bichon Maxilla is bored of just me and I do my best to keep her entertained and she has two half hour walks a day and play indoors. This breed is so energetic but I couldn't handle two of this breed on my own 🙂

awww so cute! You got her 1 day before my birthday lol! I went with my second aunt to get her bichon, she was an adorable pupyyyy
Bichons are the greatest dogs on the planet, we had our Max for 19 years and he bonded with me like no other dog I ever had. He was so smart and loved everyone he met. I gave in and stopped crate training so he slept with me every night, I think it was my one mistake because he had separation anxiety.

I see that you posted this almost a year ago. My bichon puppy was also born a year ago! Your Teddy is just a few weeks older than my bichon! I would be interested in seeing a video talking about all that you've learned in the last year raising up a puppy! I feel like I learned a lot from mine! And Happy 1st Birthday to him!

Hi Lucy…..how is everyone doing ? I’m 4 now. I barely remember being that tiny! And remember a grain free and dye free diet. Also start teeth brushing early on. It’s a long term benefit

I have a Bichon the Bichon wants to be with his owner at all times it's much as it can. If the dog lays beside you it considers you part of a pack don't forget they come from wolves. This dog loves people especially children. They only need to play about 30 minutes a day. Do not take the puppy outside until it has all his shots. If your dog is a picky eater like mine you will have to cook the dog food sometimes. Good luck and enjoy. Oh yeah comb it out everyday. And the shampooing can last about an hour and a half.

we (my family and I) have owned a brichon frise for 11 years. I have taken care of her for years (I promised to take care of her fur, nails, eyes), so I know how to take care of brichon frises!
once I live in my own apartment, I would love to get two brichon frises (if it was some other breed, I wouldn't be comfortable buying two, but since I have owned a brichon frise for 11 years, it's a routine for me)

All the best to you with your new puppy. MY first Bichon passed after 17 years. We now have a one year old. they are absolutely the best companions. They will want to be with you. Only advise -- they are very smart and will try to rule with their cuteness. Training is very important. Your life is going to change for the better -- no more down days.

oh yeah! brichon frises can be VERY bossy - my dear dog is a living example of that :D she doesn't boss me around, because I have never let her to do that, but my dad's screwed - he can't say no... :D

I’m a new bichon mom too. My baby girl is 4 months old now. Its normal when they whine bec they are like real babies. My baby has the same sheep toy from Petland. She doesn’t listen to tricks I’m teaching her right now. We’re still potty training her at home. Post more of your baby’s video. Your cat looks jealous 🤣. Good luck being a fur baby mom

heyy i was wondering do bichon frise get along well with cats? i have a cat and i'm thinking of getting a bichon puppy but i'm afraid they won't get along
Hey, it depends really. Every animal is different personality wise. Just slowly introduce them and make sure your cat has high places to get to if they need to run away. Teddy is now 1.5 years old and him and Rosie (my cat) get on well but he does annoy her at times. The cat puts him in his place lol! But yeah, just introduce them slowly and make sure you give attention to your cat too so they feel comfortable. 😀

I have a bichon maltese....but i honestly have no idea how do u resist keeping him on the floor...when he s the type of breed...sleeping in the same bed with you!
He sleeps in our bed now! :) we tried multiple things and found that him being with us at night was better :)

I picked up mine, a male 2 weeks ago. He spends his nights in a pen I have set up. On my bed is too risky this young.

I've never had a dog before. Both me and my husband work and kids are at school. Can you teach them to be alone all day from day 1
Most dogs shouldn't be alone all day. This can cause depression and bad behaviors in your pet. However ,some dogs with strongly independent personalities (less affectionate & harder to train) can handle being alone. Small dogs though ,hate to be away from their family for long hours. Bichon Frise,Maltese, Toy poodles,Yorkies, and other small breeds are specifically bred to be companions and spend most of the time near their owner. And its the small ones that are notorious for separation anxiety. You could either look into getting 2 puppies and bond them together, get a very independent breed, or get a cat. Cat is probably easier.
@@XxMyvxRocksx382xX It would be only 5 and half hours at max . He's 9 weeks old . We only got him Saturday and he slept downstairs on his own for 6 and a half hours last night and only crying once the night before. I've left him to take and pick my daughter from school and hes been absolutely fine . We do have friends and family that can nip and see him whilst we're at work for a big fuss . Then rest of time he sleeps anyway . I put him in the kitchen with a dimmed light . So he knows where his safe place is .
Private breeders gave you wet pedigree food?? .... must not be very experienced breeders, high quaility dry mix is better hills or another high quality brand
Bichone Frise make good bait dogs (when you can steal one) for my pit bull, Adolf.
