Great Job. Very well presented and very practical. I had been trying to find out the use of dSPACE for some time now. The official dSPACE tutorial videos quite frankly are not as practical as this one. This is very good. Thank you.

found this just now .. needed to understand what dSpace is ... and the marketing material from dspace just is confusing if you not sure what you actually should do with it - Iam looking form IT integration perspective will not do work with my self. Maybe they should look to your video get some down to earth material done ... not evrybody is years in the bussiness and can imagined what is ment. Thanks !

How are you able to map the constant block from the varibale section to the slider and vary the constant(which dosesnt vary) ?

Ashfaque. If by chance you have any tutorial like this with a big plant connected to DSpace like pump or motor as you said would be very helpful. I have a similar project and all these things are completely new for me. I am little afraid to use the system without thorough knowledge. Please upload if you can, soon. Thanks.

Hey, I am trying to send data to a Master-Bit-Outx but its not showing on an oscilloscope where i am trying to read my input.
I have selected the right bits which connects my dSPACE board dS1104 with my I/O unit. There was a different simulink model which was previously working fine with DS1104 but since i tried to connect a new simulink model with the board, it works fine in control desk but the output cant be seen on an osci. what ight be the reason ?

To send this signal you have not run the MATLAB Simulink file? Then how you are getting the signal in the multimeter?

Mr Ashfaque, I am able to send and receive the signals but I am unable to find the variable (parameters) of Constant block in control desk. I am not able to load the parameter into the slider because the control desk is not showing the variable.

shouldnt the output be half the value of constant because you had that 0.5 gain in between?

Ashfaque Alam Hi mate great videos, I never used dspace before but I might be working at an automotive company come January. Is there any great, comprehensive, detailed but introductory resource(book, lecture notes, videos) that you can recommend that covers the entire Dspace automotive model based design work flow ? Namely, tools like VEOS, TargetLink, ASM, Control Desk etc etc. I'm trying to learn as much as possible so I can hit the ground running. thanks kindly. your vids r a great start :) Any resource recommendations ?

For dSpace, your learning should be system dependent. For example, control desk have different versions including different processors. Don't need to worry too much. When you join, you will get documentation sets if the company have licenses for particular tools. What I suggest, for first few weeks spend a bit more time on those documentation which relates to your basic working activities such as how to load the model in control desk, measure signal, find signal variables etc. Do not try to learn everything, just plan what you need to learn to ensure your regular works are smooth. Then, slowly increase your learning phase. Learning the dSpace can never be finished :)

    Dear Sir,
Greetings from Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences Pilani, Dubai Campus!
On behalf of the research group in the Mechatronics Lab, I write this to request for guidance.
We are trying to control a stand-alone Servo motor using a PWM wave.
We want to generate the PWM wave using the Slave I/O PWM Pins on out Dspace DS1104.
Kindly help us with this. We will be highly grateful if you could provide us your contact details.
    Thank You.
