Tazz is underrated on commentary. I will stand by that.
If Taz ever left AEW to go back to WWE, I'd hope he'd be teamed up with Michael Cole. Those two had amazing chemistry.
"Good comment Jones ova here... but I digress"
Tazz being influential makes so much sense
As a joke
💯
I would have had Taz higher
I love you made a list that feels more like it was made from an insider perspective
Savage's "Cream rises to the top" promo was one of the greatest of all time.
Colt Cabana and Ace Steel, along with guys like Necro Butcher, really helped put over my local indy promotion here. And they just hung out w the wrestlers and fans after the shows. That was a really fun time.
Taz introduced tap outs in prowrestling. Prior to that is you did a rear naked choke it was illegal. That's why angle got his loss overturned lol
Tazz didn’t introduce tap outs. They were not as common, but wrestlers have tapped out almost as long as wrestling has been around. This is a stupid comment with dozens and dozens of videos on this platform showing tap outs for decades before Tazz started wrestling.
@@hahajones introduce dosnt mean invent. You're the most dense idiot in this comment section.
*looks awkwardly at the islands of Japan*
@hahajones they were considered illegal. Rear naked chokes were illegal for a long time in america. Again look at why kurt angle got his loss stricken during their fued
@joshuastein8254 hahah i mean purely for american prowrestling.
2:42 habalabeee Simon disappeared and reappeared before I very eyes thanks to the wizard in the sky!
Hayabusa… just ask will ospreay
Such a shame that Low Ki never got out of his own way
Definitely. He’s his own worst enemy.
I always thought it was odd how when some guys left ecw like Taz or Mick Foley they got "you sold out" chants from the crowd but when other guys left like Guerrero, Malenko and Public Enemy they got "please don't go" chants 😂
That is a Prarire Dog, her name is Poppy
Don't forget about the rivalry between 'Macho Man' Randy Savage and Jake 'The Snake' Roberts. Two of the absolute greatest of all time made magic in that ring when they were stood across from each other.
The Roman thing is funny: we were all booing him because we didn’t want him to be the top guy. Then they got us to start loving him as the top guy, and we’re somehow acting like we won.
2:41 What the flub?!
Simon: "Time is..."
My brain: "... on my side"
in 0,5 sec.
Gail Kim is the most influential women's wrestler of all time for me. I'll sing her praises forever, alongside the TNA Knockouts in 2007
Taz was also doing graphic design and printing up T shirts behind the scenes as well.
Taz and Excalibur are perfect together. Taz will always be one of my favorites, JR is the sound of my teen wrestling years and Taz is one of the voices of my return to wrestling.
😄👍
Speaking of el generico selling his own shirts in full gear. I was at an indie show with reno scum. They said to me hey you would look 10% cooler with our shirt. Totally worked
Where is Superstar Billy Graham?
Right; if *Hulk Hogan* finds the humility to admit he was influenced by Superstar during his WWE HOF speech (though he did say in seriousness that he "watched him as a young kid" 🤣🤣), then he should definitely be here...
Who?
Ultimo Dragon. The concept of high speed wrestling ,a lot of the stuff that you see on the indies and a bunch of wrestlers on wwe payroll came out of Dragon Gate in Japan.
I just went to a legends of Memphis wrestling event this past weekend and Jerry Lawler and Ricky Morton were both there as well as Jimmy Hart and some others and it was awesome. Ricky Morton definitely set the pace for tagteam wrestling building to the hot tag.
Even though Macho Man gets a lot of praise the man still deserves more he goes under appreciated it at times
Tazz was a beast 1995 to 2000 until Vinny Mac ruined his aura
Colt Cabana reminds me of the modern day Jerry The King Lawler
Taz legitimately changed my perspective and trajectories in life.
Taz is in my top 10.
Top 5 for mind blowing inspiration.
I'm okay with getting old because it's better than the alternative
You could 20 more of these. So many underrated workers.
2cold Scorpio , AL Snow, Ivory
Adam Pierce
Hayabusa and KENTA both made huge marks on the industry amd neither really get the credit they deserve. Onita as well as far as the hardcore scene goes too
Classic simon "if you're a good person you will think this"
Man, I had no idea how influential that wrestler, Randy Savage, was. /s
No Rikidozan? The man who literally started the Japanese wrestling scene?
Talking about merch sells and influencing the Elite you should have putt Matt Cardona on the list. As Zak Rider he put himself over via videos on the internet and that was unheard of by that time. Some years later the Elite used exactly those kinds of videos to hype up AEW before it started.
Taz was a legitimate judoka and his sub, despite needing a collar to apply correctly, is a kata hajime choke.
Hard disagree on number 1. You should have just said Vince McMahon considering you spent the rest of the segment talking about WWE's managerial blunders and AEW's ride and success.
Why does Jerry Lynn look like Brian Pullman in that picture with waltman
Taz was dope af
Shamrock was the first to do tap outs in WWE. Not tazz
Well Mr. Miller.... You my good Sir..... Are NOT wrong. Thank you for the wonderful content ALWAYS. God bless and take care.
Tazz deserved better he was treated terribly in wwe
Agree with you on Reigns, he was shoved down our throat and we booked him but he was/is a hell of a worker too! People tend to forget that we all loved him in the sheild
You forgot SABU bro.
Amazing red never gets any love
He and THE SAT invented modern wrestling
Matt Cardona >>> Colt Cabana 🤷🏻♂️
Tennessee Cowboy James Storm Back In TNA 19 years ago he was the Hangman Adam Page of that promotion but a bit more how do I put this Rugged and Cooler so Hangman Is AEW's James Storm In a sense
Weird editing mistakes in a WhatCulture video with Simon?
Nature is healing.
Taz should have been higher, Roman should have been replaced with a multitude of people including (but not limited to) Chris Jericho, CM Punk, Hayabusa, KENTA, Norman Smiley, Robbie Brookside and Alex Shelly.
God one video without Simon miller yesterday but will we ever be lucky enough to go 4 in a row. I highly doubt it.
How was Chyna not mention in this
lol haven’t wrestlers been going out and selling their merch since the start of time? Didn’t the faces used to sign 8x10s at the shows? Sami is great but he didn’t influence that, just shows how far we’ve gotten from the territory days.
Missing Chris Kanyon.
9:05 is a Prairie Dog. Not in pain, just stretching,
The prairie dog is named Poppy and her owners created a TH-cam channel for her.
Boom Boom Colt Cabana
Simon always gets an up 👍
How influential can someone be if we didnt know?
Do you know who invented the MRI machine? Exactly. Stfu.
Who better than Kanyon???
🤔🤨Where's Eddie Guerrero???
Everyone knows that he is already influencial in wrestling today and even then
the 8 year old girl kenny omega wrestled. if it wasnt for her, there would be no young bucks.
I thought the Simon guy killed a 10 year old in a D.U.I crash blew a 1.6 that's twice tye legal limit also he was caught with 4oz of heroin and he is out on vail until the trial i hope he can get out of this one
I'd give a shout out to Dink. He was very influential for little people wanting to be wrestlers, like The Young Bucks.
BOOM!!!
LOL!
You Mean Like Ilja, Pete Dunne, Ricochet, Dragon Lee, and Tyler Bate?
ECW! ECW! ECW!
"He was like a one-man band. He was incredibly successful." -- Dumbest thing you've ever said.
TIIIIIIME😂😂😂😂
First
Except for Morton and Macho, this gets a down 👎
No Undertaker in this list
Scott Colton? Famous for being CM Punk's ex best friend? Ok, shutting off the video now.
😂😂 10:51 Here we are 5 years later and AEW still cant sell 5,000 tickets weekly.
Lame
I liked big dog roman. Most people I know did too. I think the people who like him was overshadowed by the ones that hated him.
Colt Cabana? Good grief
found Cm Punk's Yt Account😂
@@watersandblue6001I know right. Colt is successful and influential in his own right.
What culture never misses a chance to show hornet Aew in any freaking way'
lawler is a predator
Jesus…Haven’t watched his content in a few years. His head is so much bigger ffs…
Wow you're a douche.
I’m a simple man. I see Simon miller, I watch the video 🫱🏼🫲🏽
