Time: The Donut of the Heart is sped up to bypass the video being blocked, though it’s not perfect, if you slow the vid down by 2x it is at normal speed. U-Love might also be a lil off. I had to layer the mp3 audio from the remake onto the video since it recorded very glitchy and paused a lot.
Thx bro! I had originally remade a couple tracks from this album just experimenting with them. The guys I mentioned in the description really inspired me to attempt the whole album. It took about 2 years continuously revising and mixing it. Glad you enjoyed!
It’s kinda funny just how different rhythmically these feel over the original. It really goes to show Dilla made all this stuff by hand to make it feel alive and flex his abilities. These sound good but there are rhythmic consistencies that set the original apart from the remakes. J Dilla is soul music!
Yo thx!! Anti-American Graffiti was probably the hardest track to mix out of all of them too. I couldnt find an HQ version of the sample anywhere online.
@@TheHouseOfGod269 Study the ones that inspired you to start producing. Once you learned a lot of techniques and styles from them, begin to incorporate those into your own beats, possibly remake some of their songs yourself. I would focus on sound selection and learning multiple styles to avoid becoming a one-dimensional producer. Always have fun and never stress too much over what you’re doing, when it gets to that point take a break. I would say once you have a good idea of your direction then you put more focus into the mix, this will come with longevity and an understanding of your DAW or Hardware. Hope this helps bro! Your vid helped a lot! I couldnt even find the right version of the sample at first, and I was able to watch the one you did to get the right chops. Owe that one to you man!
thank you for taking the time to listen 👑 I loooove Dilla and most of my tunes come from sampling, and I didn't knew what sampling was before I heard Dilla and Madlib, so basically my life would be very different lol
I seen the comment but for some reason its not showing now, but I will get to it soon bro. I might make it an unlisted vid and just send you the link. Any other questions are welcomed.
Thats cool bro! I don’t do this for the views, Im just hoping it reaches the Dilla fans and those who appreciate the process behind these beats. I genuinely love doing this and just hope to be able to inspire others through it. Thank you for being apart of that 120 fam.🍩🤝
Yeah I originally thought Dilla did some crazy stereo effects to bring the sound out but I think it has to be an extra sample he layered. I listened to a bunch of songs that were used on the album and still didnt find it.
Thx fam. You’re one of the people who got to see the evolution of this project and not just the finished product. I appreciate you being here that long.

Damn bro you even got the glitchy chops right😂
The glitch in Thunder was super difficult to get right. I might have spent about a year on that alone😂

@hellapinoakag.b.i9181 just started producing for a hobby I want to make some good beats in the future. Any tips?

Thx bro! I remember your comments from the stream the other day.
Man this is awesome. If you ever posted the flp's I would pay money for em.
Thx bro! I might do something like that and just donate it all to the Dilla foundation.
I’d love you to go in depth with your bye remake!
Yo thx for the comment! I could definitely attempt to, but in the meantime Andy Thomas has a good video showing his Bye remake on the Mashine.
Only a couple flukes but holy crap man this is amazing
YOOO THIS IS WILD
I really appreciate that coming from you bro! Congrats on 1k subs. Also major thanks for shouting my vid out!🙏
very impressive
Thunder and U love.
It honestly took me a while to figure out certain parts in U-Love. With Thunder, the hardest part was the glitched drum sound.
This is beautiful ❤
Preciate it bro! I hope this further highlights the genius of Dilla.

Fs. I will get to it eventually. Do you want the whole track with the additional samples and all(including the mix)? Or just the main sample?
