Hey Filippo, congratulations on your acceptances! I would HIGHLY recommend going to Columbia because it has a world-class engineering program with cutting-edge research opportunities and strong industry connections. Their alumni network is also incredibly powerful and could be a huge asset in your future engineering endeavors. Plus, it's located in the heart of NYC as an added bonus 😅 I'm an MIT alumni who got admitted to (just to name a few) Stanford, Colmbia, Yale, Vanderbilt, and Oxford. Just to point out, if I hadn't been admitted to MIT, I would've gone to Columbia. A little something to consider! Again, congrats and much luck, mate!
You are one of the most impressive applicants I've ever seen.. keep up the great work and I'm sure you'll have a great impact on this world wherever you go.
this video is ultra helpful, I will share with it on my tg channel. Thank u))I'm struggling with honors section. Where would you recommend to look for competitions and etc.?
I'm international student And my school doesn't have any honor classes or something like that, but for about 6 months I've been been studying 2 subjects in depth Is that enough for weighted gpa and do i even need to proof that I've been studying not only regular academic subjects?
honestly, thought you spread yourself thin with the tech brands unnecessarily, but in very impressed with your grades and how you kept doing all that at the same time. stuff like yamaha certification isn’t impressive as a musician but that clearly isn’t your main focus and it worked wonders for college apps. congrats bro
Amazing job with your grades AND your activities and honors. I’m very impressed and you’d definitely get into more Ivies if you weren’t an international student. But, when did you start learning music and tech? These start ups and the jobs you’re doing are very impressive, especially from as early as 9th grade, but that would mean you learned to code from a VERY young age. And being Yamaha certified isn’t a joke either. So when did you actually learn how to code and play music? Maybe then I’ll be more confident about code.
I started coding between 2019 and 2020 (using the pandemic lockdown as a time to lock in and learn). My best advice is genuinely to just build and build and build! I used to get stuck just writing stuff from courses and reading documentation, but the best way to learn is to watch tutorials for sub features of projects, learning along the way!
Hello! Congrats first of all! I was wondering how you managed to get certified by Yamaha for piano. I searched for their website but it doens't specifiy. Did you have to go to a Yamaha music school for the examination? Is it possible for any international students?
Thank you! Regarding your question… I attended a Yamaha-sponsored music school here in Costa Rica, so yes, it was under that pathway. I’m sure there are options where you live / things online!
hi Filippo! it's truly inspiring to see you succeed. You raised important points about following through with your initiatives, being resourceful and create opportunities for yourself. What university did you end up committing to? p.s. how did you find all of your paid jobs before college? any tips for that?
Than you so much!! I really appreciate your comment. I would recommend you message people you genuinely look up to on platforms like LinkedIn directly and see if they have any opportunities - show interest in their field and their work! Also, try to find summer internships usually addressed for college students after you've had some experience - if you're really good, they'll take you anyway! *P.S. to answer your question, I committed to Yale and am a current first-year.
Hello, your profile is really impressive. Did you submit any supplemental materials like research abstracts, additional information or a resume on your college application?
Great video Filippo, but I don't have the money to pay one of these counselors because my country currency is very weak and it would be too expensive, do you think it's possible to get into European universities without a counselor?
yo could you do a guide for revision for IB im struggling in aa sl and I would like to know some tips and tricks apart from the usual do exam paper questions and etc

Very soon, hopefully!
@@filippofonseca hopefully 🙏
cool video! good job!
Did you have straight A’s in high school?
Great video Filippo, but I don't have the money to pay one of these counselors because my country currency is very weak and it would be too expensive, do you think it's possible to get into European universities without a counselor?
Absolutely! I did everything essentially myself, and know many who have! I wouldn't worry about that at all, actually.
Aaan in witch university will you go to?
Yale!
yo could you do a guide for revision for IB im struggling in aa sl and I would like to know some tips and tricks apart from the usual do exam paper questions and etc
Sure thing!
Tbh it maybe more tempting to go to Yale or Columbia but if it’s Electrical Engineering maybe you should go to Imperial
I would have considered it, but the international student price tag is insane!
how are you actually so cracked at reading section on psat/sat? ur him
:)
He reads a lot. Smart people *read*
@@NewChannelSwitch i know
Hi, which college are you thinking of committing to?
Between Yale and Columbia rn :)
I think the entrepreneurship thing suited Yale and Brown more… you probably wouldn’t have made it to Princeton because of that
7 on cs hl😨
How the fuck did you know to do all this in your high school years I didn’t even know what ap was until 10th grade tf
I’m 8th grade,will be 9th.Actually we have 11 classes,now Idk what to do..
Bro, I think u are overqualified for Ivies, don't take our places, please! lol
rooting for you!
TBH you don’t even need to go to college with such accomplishments even before college 😮!Jokes aside, Bravo!!!
🥹 I’m flattered!
Congrats 🎉
Thanks!
