La Pavoni Professional - Home Lever Espresso Machine Quick Review

In this video, we take a quick look at my 1997 La Pavoni Professional espresso machine. This machine comes stock with a brew group that quickly overheats, so I added a "bong isolator." I also added a beautifully crafted bottomless portafilter from Coffee Sensor, and a nice 12 gram basket from IMS to improve the extractions. Finally, I added a temperature strip to the brew group, so that I know which temperature I am pulling at.

Also i do not have any problem steaming with it. Is very different from your normal 2 or 3 bar steam wand tho

I have this machine with almost the same mods. One thing that changed everithyng was a pressure valve on the piston. Now i can make 6 bar shots or even 3 bar with precision

The great thing about lever machines like this is you have grind finer and as a result you extract more, my dream is to get a spring lever Londinium Vectis machine simply because I cannot afford an Olympia Cremina spring lever as its twice the price!
