That security guard is currently actually wanted after pulling a knife on a woman for the exact same reason you got kicked out Of here for. I’ve also gotten kicked out by that guy. That guard is pretty sus.

That mall was amazing back in its day. It actually had two sets of movie theaters, the Showcase cinemas you showed and the Danberry dollarama which was located downstairs. It even had bumper cars and a ferris wheel inside the mall. A huge video game room, lazer tag, you name it. I too was told no photography in the mall a couple years ago. If they do not want people filming in there they need signs to tell people.
I've heard the place is being sold as an Amazon Fulfillment Center at some point. Glad to see someone showing it again, since I havent been here since last year.

I worked at the Finish Line there until the store closed in 2009. We were one of the last stores to go. It was crazy watching the other stores close like a domino effect. Apparently a lot of stores on the upper level where my store was have been broken into and torn up inside. So sad, they really just need to tear the place down.
My grandparents used to live in fairfield. Unfortunately they passed away. I went to that mall ALL the time. It sucks that I probably won’t go there ever again
Security has gotten TIGHT there recently-they never used to pay people any mind for filming there as long as they were being discreet and now they’re booting people left and right.
I recently heard a rumor that the last business, the video game store had moved out and that the mall has now been sold and closed to the public. I don't know if that's true or not.
Lived near there when it was built . High end stores were prevalent . It never did get 100% occupied . The security was inadequate and the stores got robbed blind . They left one after the other . Who ever decided on that location for the mall was ill advised. Too close to two other malls . Doomed from the start .
I was a security supervisor up there during the grand opening of Cincinnati mills mall I started during construction transferred from kenwood mall to the mills the place was beautiful I’m sad to see it the way it is now,
Was watching a video from a first amendment audit in California at a mall. They were asked to leave and the auditor cited a California court ruling they could record in the malls public areas and not be tresspased. I wish I could recall the channel.
Depends on if it was a federal or state court. If it's a state court, it doesn't really apply to Ohio. I have a feeling I was well within my rights to be filming there. I just didn't feel the need to press it. It wasn't important to me. And I had other things to do, and other places to be. Besides, this isn't the first place I've been asked to stop filming. I'm a nice guy, I try not to make a fuss.
FYI, there was a recent ruling in California against a local mall (Cerritos) who barred a first amendment auditor from filiming. i believe the Calif supreme court ruled that filming was legal in the public areas of a mall or shopping center which had seating areas for people to rest at. This only applied to California but they ruled that those areas were considered public accessable and therefore legal to film from within those areas.
We took a tour again Sunday, it smelled musty even worse than previous years. I took a bunch of pictures as rumors are spreading about them shuttering the interior. Never saw one secuirty officer this time (always seen them in the past).
went here today, it's a shame. it's super big i didn't even get to go through the thing. i walked by security with recording and nothing happened. i tried taking pictures of the babies r us, amazon wouldn't let me. rip
They should offer it up to movie producers and photographers for shoots! It's an awful waste of space. It began to decline when they put a dress code and curfew. You can't have a giant carnival in the middle of a mall then push away the largest patron population! They should have increased security and maybe would still be somewhat relevant today! It was a great mall though!😔
I was in here earlier this year, and they had a different security gaurd segway-ing around. There were a bunch of people taking photos and stuff, so I guess he was just trying to prevent vandalism or whatever. I'm not sure why this guy was so against you filming here.
it was kinda stupid showcase put that theater there....super savers was there first....it use to also be where security was too. But really a segway?!?! I wouldve told Paul Bart wanna be too.....naw never mind I'll behave for once.
Same guy got me. He still works there in 2022. He's a bit of a hothead, ain't he? He was really laying down the fire and brimstone in my case.

The kids area was PBS themed, that's all I can remember from my time there as a kid.
It will always be Forest Fair Mall in my heart. Just like Ronald Reagan highway will always be Cross County to me.

@@ErvTV yeah the arcade has a new location. The only thing there now is a Gym and a Kohls
