There is one trick to kill it easily you need to just use anky, use its hammer tail and then just run away wait until you gain enough stamina then hit him with hammer tail and run away again by this you can kill him easily also you can gain some extra health.
Wait I forgot lol if someone is so lazy that they diviced to tame the mamoth boss and they manage to capture it they will get a skip through the mamoths
Blocking in pve? Seriously? I hope you do know you can run laps all day in snow and jungle maps with lvl 10 velociraptor easy no blocking or medkits required

I actually found the mammoth event boss really easy i killed it in one go with my Raptor (my raptor is level 30 and my mammoth is now level 18)

The key to get rid of ankyoo wall of thorns is to not do damage otherwise it reflects damage and you get loss of health
But even if you don't attack ankylo will keep on damaging you.
