I DEMAND THEY RE-RELEASE THIS MOVIE WITH THE ORIGINAL ENDING AND ALL OF THE OTHER PARTS WE DID NOT GET TO SEE! THIS MOVIE WILL GARNER A HUNDRED TIMES MORE OF AN AUDIENCE THAN IT DID IN 1992! I LOVED THIS MOVIE WHEN I FIRST SAW IT BACK THEN AND I CONTINUE TO LOVE IT! PLEASE RE-RELEASE IT.
Meryl and Goldie looked SO good making this movie and they actually were around 50 years old, like their characters in the movie that only look so good after they took the potion.
@@niceguy5976 I said around 50. But if you need to come on here and try and feel superior, then good for you. Hopefully, life gets better for you where you have more fulfilling things in your life.
@@user-fb4sb1zi8g I wasn't rude to you in any way, I just stated a fact with their ages at the time of filming. Since you have been so nasty, let me clarify for you, 42 and 45 are not "around 50". My life is fine, you seem to be the one with a chip on your shoulder. You might consider seeking professional help for your issues. As soon as I send this reply, I will forget about you and definitely won't be responding to your vitriol. You, on the other hand will be thinking about this for weeks and stewing about it in your mind over and over. Hope that's fulfilling for you. Help is available, seek it.
The thing that bothered her is that: Helen is being portrayed as a fraud in the final cut but in the original cut we get told she actually lost all the weight by herself (Helen and Ernest conversation at Bookparty). She is exercising like crazy in one scene between Madeline being spraypainted. Helen at the end of the original cut finally realises she made a huge mistake by taking the potion. Being overly obsessed with beauty and revenge she lost sight of what really matters in life. I have talked to some people of the production last week and it was... sort of... implied... that... a certain ... someone... didn't like being the only one not getting a moment of redemption in the original cut of the film. 😅
@@XanArt21 The bit about her losing the weight is interesting, just because in the internal-logic of the movie, Madeline gets back her youth, but Helen was frumpy to begin with. I always wondered if it was meant to give you an idealised body!
Fabulous channel, cheers for all your work and effort. What kind of food are these cans the overweight Helen has in her cupboard in her messie apartment?
@@XanArt21 Thanks. I live in Europe where we have to keep creme cheese in the fridge at all times, but maybe Helen can't afford the heating anymore given that she's about to be thrown out of her NY apartment. So it's cold inside, too. I only realised that it's snowing outside in this scene when I watched the Blu-ray.
I just love Goldie so much! She personifies her name.

@@arronstone177 Thank you!
I love her so much. Such a smart and funny woman!!

When they made "Death Becomes Her", Goldie was 45 years old, half a decade from 50; and Meryl was 42 years old, 8 years from 50.

They look better than me (iam 30) 😂😂😂
Goldie is so intelligent and insightful!! Everyone's talking about Meryl but Goldie was just as essential to the movie 🙏🏻 👑
She was always my favorite in this
Thanks for this !!
Glad they were able to Cool Goldie in that fat suit. She looked so believable.
She was such a treasure of 90's film. A wonderful, genuine person and just so funny!
I love them in this movie so much!
In Goldie’s interviews you always hear that she’s a bit sad that the final movie isn’t exactly as deep as the script was.

Also she was great in Deceived. Totally under rated thriller.
Love that one!
