    ... and look at them now ...

      But that's the point. The Crossfit Games didn't really have a model to follow. Hyrox does, with the Crossfit games. They can look at the good and bad, and use that as a template.

  • @jamesgutin1870
    @jamesgutin1870 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This looks really cool, and these men and women are in phenomenal shape. Not to take anything away from their accomplishments here, but what are the rules and standards? Saw a lot of inconsistencies with how events were described, and how they were executed. People dropping kettlebells with them rolling forward, then moving up to where it stopped instead of going back to where it was dropped. Taking a step forward after the burpee on the burpee broad jumps before executing the jump. Not crossing the finish line during KB farmer carry before dropping kettlebells, and moving to the treadmill. These were just a few of the inconsistencies. I like the concept, but there standards and rules need to be addressed, and stricter enforcement on movements. I realize the counter argument is, "well how much time does that really save?" And honestly, over the course of an hour, a small extra step here or there helps you catch your breath, save energy, so it's not only the small time increment, but the overall effect it has.

      @Alive Minds Run Though your point about movement standards is legitimate, your claim about crossfit as a whole is not. CrossFit pros are some of if not the most well rounded athletes on the planet. They are amongst the fittest in the world, definitely not "nowhere near the fittest people we have". Few people are fitter. Ross Edgley could be up there. Jordan Burroughs is up there. Jon Jones. Kevin Mayer. Maybe Saquan Barkley. If CrossFit pros aren't the fittest in the world, they're right up there.

It wasn't even a well balanced test of fitness and when its the same test over and over its easy to train for it. Look at Hunter McIntyre, he got a wild card (because he wasn't good enough to qualify) entry into the CrossFit Games and didn't even get past day one of competition and you are saying he is fitter than those athletes. You have got to be kidding.

      @@dvsn23 Dear Friend,
      Thank you for your message.
      Regarding 1) I got to know Hunter very differently, he is extremely popular among the HYROX athletes. When he crosses the finish line, he goes back to the arena and cheers on his competitors. In part 4 of the Spartan Games (see TH-cam video), he gives the eventual winner Rynan Atkins tips on how to handle weights. Yes, trash talk is part of his performance, but he's a fair athlete.
      Regarding 2) We believe that the fittest athlete is a hybrid athlete who is the best mix of a runner and a strength athlete. Experts see us on the right track.
      If you write me an email: michael.trautmann@upsolut.de I invite you to one of our events.

    Isn't Germany one of the egalitarian countries? Why do the women have different weights then men? Arnt they one of the ones who tell us there are no physical or mental differences between the sexes? And that there are unlimited genders?
    Which is it? Are there no differences at all? Because that could lead to hiring and other discrimination, or are people coming back to reality?

      So what? It has always been this way, the males usually outweigh the females by 50 lbs so its all good, no reason to bring your stupid gender agenda into a video like this

  • @teddymerchant4650
    @teddymerchant4650 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    This appears like someone filmed an average box workout and put it online as a competition. The filming and commentary is awful. I might just start posting videos of myself saying I won the championship of fitness. It could have been okay if they'd worked more on production first. Someone else jumping on the Bandwangon of youtube for that ad revenue without an original product.

      We have tens of thousands of participants, we have athletes from different backgrounds. 3 of the male TOP 20 CrossFit athletes of the Games 2019 took part in HYROX events. Mathew Frazer and Patrick Valner were there as spectators when Hunter broke the HYROX world record. We had world champions and Olympic winners from numerous sports (lacrosse, field hockey, rowing, triathlon, OCR etc.) at the start. One of the world's TOP 10 OCR athletes said after his first participation in our HYROX event in Miami 2019: "It felt like CrossFit Games combined with a rock show." If this sounds funny to you, call it a joke (Sled Push was a total weight of 440 pounds).

    A new fitness event is in my opinion only nice for the sport as it brings some variation.
    But such a dumb idea to call it world championships, when there's clearly not a broad field of athletes competing.
    Should have kept it more modest. Seems like you made the same mistake as the female runner who almost collapsed after the very first 1k run. Ridiculous

    I haven’t watched it yet but read the comments. From this I gather Hunter won. There is no doubt he is a great athlete. But by know means is he any where near fittest on Earth. He is actually no longer even the best in his chosen sport. Any competition that doesn’t include the top 10 crossfit, cross country skiing or Spartan men or women cannot be called the fittest on Earth.

    • @michael_trautmann
      @michael_trautmann 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He finished on 2nd place at the "Spartan Games" in Dec. 20. He is HYROX World Record Holder since October 2019, in Dallas 2020 he was faster than 2 Top CrossFit Athlets (Chandler Smith and Jacob Heppner, who finished 2019 CrossFit Games in 15th and 6th place) which started as a team (That means they shared the workouts). He is the best of tens of thousands of HYROX athletes. We are a young sport, give us a chance ;-)

    • @davidbeattie5482
      @davidbeattie5482 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@michael_trautmann call him your champion and be happy. He is an amazing athlete and a great figure head for your sport. But he didn’t make it past the second cut in the Crossfit games after being given a free entry. He failed in his attempt to beat the Murph world record and yes, the 2 guys you mentioned are great crossfit athletes but teamed up with Hunter for fun.... I’m not trying to knock your sport just bringing a reality to the athletes who are competing.
